Dengeki Daisy review
Dengeki Daisy is probably one of my favourite romance sotires out there from all the ones I've consumed. It's not flawless by any means, the art is lackluster at times, though it mostly holds up very well. It's just not entirely to my taste personally. And well, there's the age difference between Teru and Kurosaki.

I find a majority of the the characters appealing, both in design and personality. Although I admit, at first I was slightly put off by the age gap between Kurosaki and Teru (8 years). As the story progressed however, it bothered me less and less. They have good Chemistry together and there's nothing creepy going on besides maybe one thing, that I wouldn't describe as creepy or shocking myself.

The story has a very basic romance- structure, but it is a very fun read and there's an interesting plot device in 'daisy' that makes it less generic.
At least I was thoroughly entertained the whole way through.
Granted it may be a little slow at times, as there may be a few things that are dragged out for too long.

(small spoiler)
(I've seen some people mention that Kurosaki is a lolicon/pervert and I don't agree with that entirely. The only mentions of Kurosaki being a lolicon are jokes his friends make because of his feelings towards Teru, who is younger than him, but her age has nothing to do with why he fell for her. And while he does a few perverted things, it's honestly pretty minor in my opinion)

I think that was all I could say about it, I hope this was useful for anyone

Dengeki Daisy review
First things first. My "reviews" system is explained on a blog entry. Which can be found through my profile.
------
Note: Attempted to give of general gist and feeling I got out of this Manga, but I will admit I did kinda stray off towards rants a bit in this review. It's still related in a sense of giving this series opinion and rating, but not as directly. As reviews are highly subjective things, I attempt to give general thoughts. (but obviously.. I got still long way until I can tell myself "now I got pretty solid method of writing "reviews""
-----

✦Story
Not sure what to tell as it's pretty development based story. But I felt that growth, development and such were quite present in this Manga. Overall it felt pretty solid. Now as it's another shoujo slice-of-life Manga it has few points I would like to rant about, but to avoid that I'm going to say instead that the quirk what made this Manga fun was the whole premise of SMS exchange and hackers storyline. Which gave sense of mystery and as well surprisingly enough quite violent storytelling.

Whilst the hacker storyline and the whole plot of that was pretty nicely wrapped up. I felt the the relationship state of the main coupling felt a bit underwhelming by the end. Although story gave fair Amount time and moments of romance and insight of their relationship plus possible future, it still felt as it didn't really give as much impact or service regarding romance. But that was made up with a sense of growth and bond between the couple.

As whole story was pretty good.

✦Art
Not much to say, shoujo Manga enough. Good enough.

✦Character
To keep it short and possibly rant free. I'm going to say that the development and growth plus the bonding of characters was probably the best part of the characters.

Whilst on the other side, stereotypes and characters in general very quite unlikable. Not all of the, but a quite few.

////
You can Ignore this part
////
What I want to comment, which is a typical thing regarding shoujo genre. It's a bit of rant, but still I always feel like commenting. Is that I cannot ever comprehend the logic of such couples or the aimed demography being women. These types of shoujo Manga/Anime make me always feel and think that women are simply creatures who love being treated like shit, but now and then want to be patted. By that I mean main guy is the typical utterly full of himself bastard that treats people like junk and abuses, bullies, teases his woman frequently. Whilst main girl, never mind how much she gets hurt, she still loves the guy. Principle of "I'm getting daily beaten with baseball bat, but sometimes he pats my head so I love him. Oh and his job is torturing and killing people." MY POINT.. I simply cannot comprehend this and makes me always wonder if that is a seriously a common thing that women fantasize/like. But eh.. what forever alone understands about women right.
////

✦Enjoyment & Overall
Aside the inner conflict I had with some characters, I still enjoyed this Manga quite a lot. It had lot of sweet moments, lot of drama and fairly interesting subplot of hackers, which gave off sense of mystery and surprising violence.

Romance had fairly good presence, but feel it was more of bonding oriented than actual love/romance. It's hard to explain, but it simply felt odd.

Moral of the story is that this Manga is pretty good, especially in sense of growth and development, whilst some other factors and oddly odd. Cannot even say bad. Just odd.

////
Also, as always I can 90% for sure that I would have gotten much more into it, feel it and remember it better if this would be an Anime. I'm not a reader type, so I can't really remember most stuff I read, let alone feel or think. I lose focus and get annoyed when consume simply text. (thus why I absolutely rarely read actual book and rarely remember anything I read).
////

In other words, this Manga would been so much more enjoyable if it would have Anime adaption.

Dengeki Daisy review
Story:
This definitely isn't an average Shoujo manga where the story goes smoothly, and that's what makes this manga interesting and unique. By like sure, at the very start it seems to be just regular school life, but as you continue on the story gets deep and not just on the surface of each character that doesn't have to worry much. And what I mean by deep is that each character that is introduced has a some sort of connection with each other. Of course not just a regular connection where they're friends with someone they know, but also that there is a reason why that character is placed in the story. Well, I'm not that good at explaining without spoiling, but overall the story is very interesting that'll make you question "who", "what", "why", etc. You'll probably also question other things because there are lots of information about the manga given and it was quite a lot to take in since my brain can't process very quickly😂😅

Art:
Meh.. At first the art was okay, but due to the art the comedy definitely was killing me. But as you go in with the story, the art definitely get more beautiful. Like at first I thought the art wasn't very appealing, but now I'm looking at the parts where the characters look good. Then before I know it I'm just like "Kurosaki is so damn hot and cute"😂 (Kurosaki is the janitor).

Character:
Well you can't expect much of a regular 16 year old high school girl, Teru, the main character, so it's only natural that she isn't much help in physical fights. But of course never underestimate anyone because Teru Kurebayashi is not completely useless and that's what makes her good. Also another thing that I love about her is her personality, she is quite inexperienced, but she is a kind and very funny person.
Then as for 24 year old janitor at Teru's school, Tasuku Kurosaki, at first he seems like a very "evil person" (especially to Teru). He may seem rude and mean, but as the story goes on you get to see many of his soft sides, or other sides. Either way, Kurosaki is a hot janitor that is also badass😂

Enjoyment/overall:
Of course I enjoyed it. It was so freaking adorable, especially the romance part. The story isn't rushed, and it was very interesting. Plus it was a 8 year age gap where the guy is older. I don't know why, but I enjoupy age gaps. Anyway, I recommend this to anyone who enjoys romance, comedy, and looking for something interesting to read.

Dengeki Daisy review
Truthfully speaking, the plot for Dengeki Daisy is pretty unique. I haven't read any shoujo involving something like special cell phones and computer hacking, so this is a first. However, the manga started off with a typical school girl feel and some romance, which I enjoyed. It then took a turn for a more serious feel once Teru got started about learning about her brother's death and what he left behind. The twists and turns became exciting and opened up a new direction for the manga to go in. I must admit that I was a little confused about the history behind Teru's brother, though. There are a lot of facts in there and many characters involved, so be sure to pay attention. Also, the mangaka's sense of humor is superb. I found constantly laughing at least every other chapter, and art matches the incidents very well.

Teru is an amazing protagonist; I admire her a whole lot. People are always complaining about female protagonists in shoujo manga being weak and always needing someone to save them, but Teru can hold her own almost all the time, as you can see from the preview. Even if she doesn't have the skills her brother has, she's still very intelligent and headstrong. She stands up for others and will protect her loved ones at all costs. She is also not very knowledgeable in the area of love, but that will change over the course of the story.

Kurosaki is the janitor at Teru's high school, whom Teru works with after she breaks a window that she can't pay for. I can't say much without spoiling, but I will say that he likes to tease Teru and smokes a lot. His hair is dyed blond and many girls and female teachers have remarked that he is handsome. Teru often finds him in deep thought.

The artwork is very nice. I like how the mangaka can draw men beautifully without making them bishounen exactly, at least with no eyelashes. Emotional faces are drawn quite well, especially in humorous circumstances. It's very consistent and otherwise great. I have no complaints whatsoever.

All things considered, I give Dengeki Daisy 8/10. It's a very interesting manga with an intriguing plot, though it is a little convoluted near the middle and end. The main characters are very likable and are not perfect because they have some flaws, which are just enough to make them real. The mangaka introduces a slew of other characters that are original and have their own quirks. The humor is fantastic, and the art is good. Why not read it?

Dengeki Daisy review
In my case, this manga far exceeded my expectations.

The plot is original, of course it has a lot fiction in it, and it can be difficult at first to start to enjoy the story if you look for more believable shoujo mangas, but I'm sure it won't be a dissapointment.
I loved Teru, seriously, she is a fine main character, I found her actions and her way of confronting things very believable, and that's the thing that, in my case, makes the difference among other series. Of course there are some clichés, after all, it's a shoujo manga, but I'm the kind of person that isn't bothered by them if the story is well executed.

On the other hand, we have Kurosaki, a sweet cutie-pie too good for this world. I mean, he's not an innocent man or anything, he has commited some sinful things (as the author makes us understand throughout the story) but that doesn't make him a bad person. It just makes him human. And of course, how can we not forgive him for what he had done in the past? He's in so much pain that I was so glad that he found someone to help him to bear with it.

Now, I'm going to get into the relationship between those two. If you are looking for a nice couple worth of being shipped, this is the one. They are just so nice together, and it's such a healthy relationship. I know that I sound like a crazy fangirl, but I'm all about good romances. And luckily, they aren't cheesy at all, most of the time they interact with each other it's just as a comic relief, but when things turn serious, they become this amazing couple, where they support and protect one another.

In conclusion, this manga is well-worth of your time if you enjoy a good romance between two great characters that will make you laugh more than once, also, the art is very nice and I have to point out how the mangaka drew the eyes, because they are just beautiful and full of emotions (especially Teru's).

There's only one thing that made me rate this manga an 8 instead of a 10, and it is that the hacker thing and the huge plot that develops throughout the story wasn't my cup of tea. Sometimes it was well executed and interesting, but other times I just felt that they were extending it too much.

Dengeki Daisy review
Okay first I'm going to start with the art, i started reading this manga like a year ago and at that time i had not read many mangas and the only shoujo manga i read was ao haru no ride and probably hirunaka no ryuusei so comparing the art with those i didn't really like it that much but after reading so many mangas in the course of this year and becoming somehow open minded I realized that the art is actually wonderful and really good especially the funny moments! And let's not forget that every mangaka has his/her own style and i can pretty much see clearly now that the art in this manga has improved compared to the beginning.
Now about the plot, Teru is a high school girl who lost her brother and is taken care of by some mysterious "Daisy". I actually checked this manga like two years ago and at that time and at the first glance it didn't look good but now it is one of my favorite mangas ever! What took me so long was the long chapters and the very long dialogue which kinda seemed to get on my nerves sometimes but that was what made the story more interesting and at the final chapters (60-75) things got so interesting that i binged it! So i say it was good.
And the characters; I HATE SHOUJO MANGA HEROINES but Teru is a whole different story. I liked her very much, she was not stupid an she didn't blush all the time over stupid stuff ( being with Kurosaki doesn't count bc she was hella funny) and Kurosaki, well he isn't the typical boring handsome hero but he's one hell of a handsome lolicon LOL. I really liked seeing those two together i will miss them 😢 and Akira kinda reminded me of that boy in beast master; VERY ADORABLE. The other characters were pretty cool too especially Rika <3
Even though the middle chapters were kind of tiring because there were so many details but once i got to the ending everything got like 10x better so im telling you this shoujo manga is not overrated :)

Dengeki Daisy review
I shall try to make this short and helpful!

Art::
I loved the art in this manga. The artist worked very hard, in my opinion, and he did fabulous with differentiating all the characters. If you dislike the "only showing one eye to exaggerate an effect" then you will be annoyed in this manga. I personally enjoy this effect because the artist puts it in serious situations and doesn't misuse it. Another incredible aspect is that the artist is great at expressing the emotions of the characters. I could literally see the reaction and the different anticipations of the characters as if they were alive. It just made the story that much more enjoyable.

Character::
The characters are great! Sure the author took some usual character types, but I personally don't mind. I'm just so happy to find that the main girl is NOT STUPID! As in, she doesn't go all gaga, she doesn't do totally stupid things (unless she has a reason), and she is someone you could relate to. The characters also act so HUMAN like! They all have situations where they would act just like any other person in the real world. The characters are also so deep. They all have a story and they all can be identified. Even the background characters are easy to spot with their personalities too! Its also nice to see that many back up characters get a chance to shine in the manga, making it that much more realistic (because honestly people seen in the background are just decorations in reality!).

Story::
Ahhhh the story. Its so intense. The author takes great pleasure in making sure the reader understands the situations and why characters act the way they do. There are a few plots going on in the manga. Theres, of course, the love story between the two protagonists, an evil corporation trying to steal from the protagonists out of greed and power, the history between the dead brother and the male protagonist, the interaction between the female protagonist and 'Daisy', and basically every interaction the characters have! I can never get lost in this story. Plus, you just want to keep reading the whole time. The author is really good at drawing in the audience and suddenly throw a climax in a chapter. I seriously read this manga in two days because it was so addicting! I can't wait for the story to continue.

Enjoyment::
I enjoyed this very much. I'm not much of a reader, and most certainly not a Manga reader either. I just wanted to read this story because I heard so much debut from it. And now I can understand why. Its, of couse, a shoujo with the usual romantic scenes, but I'm fine with the cliches. It was the story and the fun love that really got me into the book.

Overall::
This wasn't a masterpiece, but I would definitely put it in the 9 level, even though I voted a 10 for everything. I just enjoyed it so much. But I agree its not a masterpiece, although the plot in my opinion is very original (as far as I can tell).

So, if you're ok with the cliche, overly used lines (although this isn't used a lot in this manga) and the usual character stereotypes, and that you just want another manga where you can dream of at night, this is something to read.

I guarantee that this manga will be made an anime someday.

Dengeki Daisy review
*Review contains spoilers*

Story 6/10
I found this manga on MAL's list of "Top 10 Best Shoujo Manga That Haven't Been Adapted into Anime". I have to say that, although the story is in fact original to certain extent, I am surprised that this manga is the No. 1 on this list. Yes, again, somewhat original plot, characters are cool and no love triangles (yes!). However, this story could have had at least 25 less chapters and it might have been better. Midway reading, I found myself bored due to many unnecessary things happening and basically forced myself to finish reading it because mama raised no quitter. By chapters 40-50 so many random, complicated and non-sense stuff started to happen that I felt lost at times. I read somewhere in the manga that this story was not supposed to be more than 3 chapters or volumes and I think it is obvious the author just ended up stretching things to have a longer story, which is too bad as this plot had potential to be better. At least the end was satisfying and there was a nice plot twist with Akira's back story. The only negative thing I have to say about the ending is that if left (on purpose according to the story) some things unexplained such as was Antler a bad guy or not? why did he give Teru the flash drive with the video for Akira? Did Chiharu really want to hurt Akira or not? (I have a feeling that she wanted him to help him). Who created M's testament and the island?

I don't know how much of a taboo it is for Japanese men to date younger women (obviously in most of the occidental world it is a crime for an adult to date a person under 16, maybe 18? but again, context!! Japanese men are very respectful, cautious and slow with physical contact so I don't see what the big fuss with this is about, at least in Japan). If you take away the sex and physical contact from the relationship, what would be so wrong with the age gap? If the 16 is mature beyond their years (and Teru most likely is because of the live events she has had to endure), being with someone actually older, wiser, might not be a bad thing for that person. And Kurosaki barely kissed Teru, and literary said "I will wait for you to graduate/be 18", so I really can't see what the problem with this relationship is, at least age related. I mean, by 15-16 a person has or is very close to experimenting with relationships, physical contact, sex, etc, whether it is with someone their own age or older. Now, if you are talking about someone 14 or younger, that is another different story. I was just glad that the age gap wasn't made too big of an issue for the main couple (that clearly had serious and deep feelings for one another) and that Kurosaki was mature enough to own his feelings and act on them taking responsibility for whatever consequences being with Teru might bring. I did hate the constant teasing the author made regarding intimacy/kissing between Teru and Kurosaki, to the point that when he finally kissed her I wasn't even that excited about it anymore. Another thing I didn't like was how Kurosaki's existence was solely for taking care of Teru and rescuing her every single damn second. I feel sorry this guy seems to not have much of a life that does not revolve around Teru, I mean, even his work was based on her.

On a side note, I have seen people complaining about a high school girl and a school janitor...1)I am pretty sure he was a school janitor in order to be closer to Teru while keeping a low profile. 2)I am also pretty sure Kurosaki is qualified to get another job, specially in software engineering and development (which is one of the most financially rewarding fields to work in).

Art 7/10
I have mixed feelings for this section as the manga had many beautiful drawings and scenes but then other parts looked very sloppy (might be due to the scanning I read). I must say Kurosaki was lovely drawn most of the time.

Characters 7/10
I am glad to say I found no annoying or unnecessary characters. However, no character really stands out. Teru was OK. She is a go getter and not a cry baby at all, which was good. The only bad thing Teru has is being so naive and thus becoming such an easy prey. Kurosaki's back story was well developed and I fell he had the most character development. I know it is supposed to be cute how devoted he is to Teru, but I don't think that is healthy for a relationship. I also think the author did a great job at presenting Soichiro because I ended up loving him although he wasn't alive during present manga time (I want to note that I did find a bit weird how physical Soichiro was towards Teru...is not that I got incestuous vibes exactly but I don't usually hold hands with my brothers or cuddle with them or press my forehead to theirs. That was a bit weird for me although we could assume he probably saw her as a daughter more than a sister?). Also, was I the only one who got "bad guy vibes" from Andou? I kept thinking he would betray the team throughout the whole manga.

Enjoyment 6/10
I was entertained by the initial chapters, lost interest midway but was entertained again by the last chapters. I was really expecting more of this manga.

Overall 6/10
If you find yourself with too much free time and wanting to read something, this might do. However, this is not a manga I would be recommending.

Dengeki Daisy review
8/10

I love this manga, but to be honest I almost dropped this manga midway of reading it because I really cant get enough of Kurosaki and Teru's love story. I barely see them very romantic with each other though I know this manga has some action included but really I ship them soo much! When I thought there could be a possibility of being them so romantically gosh that would also be the end of the chapter! Leaving me depress! I
Its because prior to this i have recenlty read Faster than a kiss, though they never kissed I still find it satisfying because of their cuteness together and the twist that made me depress too when i reached the ending! But Kurosaki help me get through that feeling and hold on till the of the story! In addition to that, I skipped a lot of bubbles because especially when Teru is with her friends, but when its Kurosaki even with other guys, I dont wanna miss even a single punctuation mark! My favorite part is during the engagement party its cool and Teru looks beautiful and Kurosaki looks hot when wearing sunglasses!

OST : Time After Time

Who would know that this could be an OST of a manga? This song reminds me of this a lot! Because of this song, Daisy's secret revealed!

Characters:

Kurosaki : I love this guy so much! He is sooo cool, strong and hot yet gentle! Hes the reason why I keep reading till the end because I wanna see more of him. The Daisy episode is cute also! Ahahah!

Teru : I dont find Teru cute or anything but their first kiss I screamed! They looked sooo cute! Grrrrr!

Riko : i feel sad for Riko, because she lost Sou. I wish Sou was still alive, they really looked cute together! I even sometimes think that Riko has a feelings for Kurosaki, but in the end youll get to know who has the real crush on whom!

Over all i enjoyed it!

NOTE :
Im not into manga, but im an anime lover though I started to love manga recently even those already animated I still wanted to read ofcourse its manga where they originated! Here is the list of manga i read and their order from I love the most to least.

Currently Reading : Kaichou wa Maid-Sama ( though I watch the anime and not yet complet and have read it way back then started where the anime has ended till the very last chapter I wanna read it again from the very beginning!

Completed :
1. Faster Than A Kiss
2. Dengeki Daisy
