One Piece review
One Piece is a masterpiece of storytelling that anyone should watch during his lifetime! So what are the gems that lie beneath this story, in general? (I''ll comment about the anime version at the end of this review)

STORY 10: (personal importance factor [pif] x1.2)

Well, there is a lot that can be told about the story but I'll try to be really laconic. We have a newby young pirate named Luffy setting off on his adventure across the oceans to become the King of Pirates. Yes, it's really commonplace. But what's pulling you in on this grossly big adventure is Luffy getting new nakama and the wonderful experiences they come along with as a big family. My compatriot Cavafy's poem (written more than a century ago) describes Luffy's journey in a beautiful and exact way:

As you set out for Ithaka
hope your road is a long one,
full of adventure, full of discovery.
Laistrygonians, Cyclops,
angry Poseidon—don’t be afraid of them:
you’ll never find things like that on your way
as long as you keep your thoughts raised high,
as long as a rare excitement
stirs your spirit and your body.
Laistrygonians, Cyclops,
wild Poseidon—you won’t encounter them
unless you bring them along inside your soul,
unless your soul sets them up in front of you.

Hope your road is a long one.
May there be many summer mornings when,
with what pleasure, what joy,
you enter harbors you’re seeing for the first time:
may you stop at Phoenician trading stations
to buy fine things,
mother of pearl and coral, amber and ebony,
sensual perfume of every kind—
as many sensual perfumes as you can;
and may you visit many Egyptian cities
to learn and go on learning from their scholars.

Keep Ithaka always in your mind.
Arriving there is what you’re destined for.
But don’t hurry the journey at all.
Better if it lasts for years,
so you’re old by the time you reach the island,
wealthy with all you’ve gained on the way,
not expecting Ithaka to make you rich.
Ithaka gave you the marvelous journey.
Without her you wouldn’t have set out.
She has nothing left to give you now.

And if you find her poor, Ithaka won’t have fooled
you.
Wise as you will have become, so full of experience,
you’ll have understood by then what these Ithakas
mean.

WORLD-BUILDING: 10 (pif x1.3)

Luffy and his friends travel a long way through an enormous ocean with a major variety of strange and amazing islands, kingdoms and societies awaiting them. Each unique yet a part of a uniform whole. All these different places and societies broach many real-world issues, such as diversity, racism, political corruption and much more... And they are all tied together in a perfect way!

ART: 10 (pif x1)

Well, the art (both in manga and anime) complete the whole with respect to the detailed story, as well as the anime version adds an enjoyable liveliness.

CHARACTERS: 10 (pif x0.5)

Luffy and his nakama make such a great company that I wish I could become one of them. Their bonds are strong enough to consider them a family and, in another way, their journey is rather a family adventure. One's dream is everyone's dream! Their nakama lives are more important than theirs! This is One Piece!

AVERAGE: 10 (I want moreeee!)

In conclusion, I could type in front of my laptop's screen for hours but that would be much of a torture for the readers. If anyone reads this at all. :p :p :p

One Piece review
It's said to be the greatest manga, all the elements you love in a series is all in the greatest treasure in the world, One Piece, left by a legendary pirate mangaka named Eiichiro Oda. Ever since 1997, the new era of manga began, competing to take the number one spot of Shonen Jump, so far, none has yet to step a foot in it's path.

Once I did, I asked myself why didn't I pick the series up earlier. I truly feel that this is the best Shonen series ever made if we were to review it objectively.

Anyway, to the actual review:

One Piece initially feels very constantly slow-medium paced which feels just right because it's mostly an adventure manga, you NEED that many chapters to finish a story and write a main character's journey. Also, Oda does an awesome job of offering the massive world which a lot of series doesnt have that feel. The external environment has more development than character wise which also makes OP so much different from other shonens out there. One huge advantage One Piece has over every mangas out there is that the crew simply expands and expands as they travel to new unexplored lands and beyond the endless expanding universe. It really has an element of adventure, excitement and romance(to adventure) to it. It is very straightforward to see where arcs begin and end, because they go from island to island, yet it's completely unexpected. Wheras in something like Naruto, you don't get the sense of that also, also the main character(Luffy) wants to explore the WHOLE WORLD, not just a city or a town and it is needed because adventure is the biggest theme. One Piece is an adventure manga, that being said, something simple as exploring new place after places but they reach a segment and events change, flipped around and find something completely unexpected. Oda does a great job of keeping the audience interested. As we all know that the Strawhats will visit next island, like someone living their everyday life, adding age one after another. That is the basic gist that we will only know. It's completely unpredictable. Obviously you know what you want to do with your life and such but you wouldn't know every events leading up to that. It's simply a broad general idea of it.

Story-wise, it's always filled with surprises. You can never predict what Oda has in store for you. This author/artist/pirate/god himself manages to incorporates various themes into some of the places in One Piece with preferences we are familiar with. For example, one of the city reminds you of Venice, Italy. Another reminds you of an Ancient civilization such as Mayans and Aztecs. There are some very powerful moments in One Piece that WILL break your heart. Even the humor is great, better than some of the American Cartoons itself which emphasizes on comedy. So far, One Piece has never disappointed me. I'm glad I gave this series a chance.

Characters are top-notch. No characters have been side-lined and left in the grave to rot like many other typical Shonen series does. There are too many lovable characters to talk about here but in every series, the main character is the most important so here we go!
Monkey D. Luffy, a young man destined for great things. He never asked to not have a mother, he never asked to be born into a world which forces him to protect others from evil and corruption, and he never asked for any of his loved ones to be hurt. Luffy is humorous, innocent, strong-willed, brave, and most of all, life-loving. His persona rubs off on others, his ability to create joy and peace is astounding. His character's even developed so far as to make his readers weep alongside when he's emotionally broken. They are confused, rendered helpless when he feels helpless. When Kuma separated Luffy's crew, no reactions would be exaggerated. Luffy lost everything he loved, and it happened right in front of him. Luffy is a character that does not treats his nakamas as if they are utterly pathetic and helpless by saying he will protect them, no he is not... He is a man that leads by actions. This is the man that encourages his friends to get stronger for themselves and to protect their captain. Not just friends inspires, he inspires enemies to get stronger as well... That is because Luffy cannot go on a boring adventure become the Pirate King.

The art isn't really something to bash about. It's very unique compared to most generic well-drawn anime that is can be topped by even better detailed art. The art is simply perfect for a series like One Piece, I wouldn't have it drawn any other way. One Piece lacks bi-shonen characters and rather opts for the wild and crazy character designs, the uniqueness and originality is top notch. Me personally, the wackier the better and having every characters look like they hopped out of Final Fantasy. The background very important in any manga and people usually overlooks this, they would rather read a series that is plagued with white backgrounds in panels over generically drawn characters. Oda's world is massive, colorful and very imaginative. Sometimes I think he goes way over-the-top but it really suits the nature of the series.

Houseki no Kuni review
Ok, so, this is a really hard one to talk about.

I'm mostly writing this review because most of the ones published are from earlier points of the story and considering how everything changes through ths story it seemed fitting to do one in it's actual point.

To describe the plot, it's centered on a main character called phosphophilite. In personality is pretty much like Akko Kagari, at least on the start, and it's goal is to find a job that it can do to help the other and find it's own place in the group.

This androginous gem is in a world where they are in constant attacks of a strange race called the lunarians that every few days invade the island the inhabit to break them and steal their broken gem bodies. This gives some conflict and a somewhat constant threat considering that when the plot progresses the attacks of the lunarians become more and more bizarre and hard to deal with.

Lore wise is pretty unique, it gives the right amount of information to know and understand it's world while it keeps lots of secrets for the protagonist to solve. The only complaint I could have is that they really take a long time to actually unveil them and it's basically all of them almost at the same time so from some point forward there¿s not much to discover anymore.

All of this is a really nice setup that is maintained for most of the series until things change really drastically from the middle point forward. I won't specify much on it, but I will say that it's a really painful story but that I would recommend because of it's uniqueness and interesting way of developing.

(mild spoilers, nothing specific, but beware)

So, to summarize the hard part to talk about, this is a story that changes it's tone gradually but really, really drastically. The story unfolds in a way that repeats certain patterns in several arcs until everything changes midpoint and it kind of stalls pretty hard. The situation is really interesting but the complexity they end up delving in once the misteries are revealed slow the pace a lot from middle point forward.

The tone, characters, plot, everything is radically different from one half and the other, not a bad thing precisely because this is a consequence of the natural development of the plot they are dealing with, but it can be really jarring if one is not prepared to see the profound lows the characters can get in once things start getting really messed up.

Getting out of that, the art is pretty interesting, simplistic but really adequate to show the physical changes the protagonist goes through. There's some really interesting simbolism and narrative structure based on budhism and narratives they use. In general I would recommend it as a really unique experience that definitely not everyone is going to appreciate because of the strange and particular ways the narrative and the plot end up going to.

In general, a story a lot more interesting than entertaining.

Kaifuku Jutsushi no Yarinaoshi: Sokushi Mahou to Skill Copy no Chouetsu Heal review
“Do you want my rod or this rod?” By the artist that brought you six other stories you’ve never heard of comes Somethings rising and it’s not the shield hero. This majestic abomination known as Redo of a Healer will be heralded as the Twitter communities’ Covid19 equal. This is about as wholesome of a LN as it gets while running Olympic laps around what could have been hentai. Interspecies Reviewers has nothing on the story of this honorable crack addict Batman prodigy.

Have you ever thought to yourself,” I wish there existed an uncensored version to Rising of a Shield Hero.” Well look no further! as we follow the adventures of 2.0 Naofumi’s rise to what a true hero should aspire to be. I know many felt deeply betrayed when Malty didn’t catch Naofumi’s hands on the chopping block. Luckily this year she’s reincarnated as the same lovable princess we’ve all come to treasure. Nothing will stop 2.0 Naofumi’s crusade to being the #1 Thot slayer in this new journey. I mean how can you not want to become what you were destined for? This man in his new quest is given the godly healing alchemy to restore or even better..ENHANCE his best qualities ;).

Now I get some people may ask,”Isn’t this a downgraded version of our beloved hero? How is going from immovable object that is the SHIELD hero to why do I need a healer when I’ve got elixirs?” I’d be lying if I said I didn’t type in any game I’ve ever played where someone insta locks healer “GG NEXT!” Well this reinvigorated mad lad plays healer, damage and tank because everyone knows everyone but you is trash. It’s just the golden unspoken rule in any sort of party system. If you can’t carry, get good. I don’t know about you, but this man sounds like the granddaddy carry I’d want with me. Of course nothing comes free so it’s times like these after his hard fought battles when he see him truly “rise” and get back what was rightfully owed. After all, 2.0 Naofumi be pimpin.

“This has got to be some trash Harem show right?” Not even! Well, kinda. While everyone starts lining up for pound town, he never sees the thots as more than tools and as such pays no creed. Only those truly worthy such as the royal family as bestowed his Crown Jewels. This isn’t the story of a simp. We’re talking about someone who has the deceitfulness of Kazuma while maintaining the sheer palpable vigor of Naofumi. And maybe a sprinkle of Rance if you’re a veteran degenerate and know what I mean. Upon our hero’s second reincarnation he was gifted the power to look at you and DDos you on the spot. This easily allows him to discern the world as he sees fit. Most importantly this insures he will never fall into the clutches of the infamous trap.

IMO this will be the pinnacle of Isekai. You can’t get any better than a story where your own love nectar can increase the level caps of those around you. You get the Naofumi done right story. Although the one downside is this is possibly considered a light hentai, but there’s no NTR or ugly bastard so it’s a win-win right?

PositioN review
The term “slice-of-life” is used to refer to a genre consisting of mundane, day-in-the-life events of characters and the environment they are within. As often as it is used in the anime and manga community, the term and the genre itself rarely leaves beyond its boundaries, making anime and manga such a unique experience. But what exactly, is slice-of-life? What are the standards to be had to properly define it as such?

Everyone would have different interpretations of what a definite grasp on what the genre means, but for me, I believe a proper definition is accurately expressed by Hitoshi Ashinano, an artist renowned for Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou. With his careful and minimalistic detail of elements within the foreground and background, drawn in a manner that urges the reader’s internal desire of movement to fill in the lines he traces, Ashinano’s talent to immerse the spectator in such a static medium is unwavering and praiseworthy.

With these ideas in mind, Ashinano’s PositioN may not be on the same caliber as YKK, or as detailed as any of his recent works like Kabu no Isaki or Kotonoba Drive (of which is a loose sequel to this one), it remains a solid entry in his soothing collection. Of all his works, PositioN may be considered the one with the most common setting—vignettes of people’s experiences with the supernatural and the unexplained, usual interactions with friends, and finding special things from leisurely strolls in the road.

There would be no other mangaka to properly define “simple” than Ashinano. And in PositioN, his most “simple” work may this trait be fully seen. Slice-of-life relies not on the grand scale of things, but in minute but significant interactions in our days that may seem simple, but makes life much more special.

PositioN is a fairly short manga due to being canceled, consisting of only 7 chapters, but it is more than worthy for your attention.

Boruto: Naruto Next Generations review
Now, the infamous boruto "sequel". This is how everyone refers to it due to the overly biased naruto fanbase, well considering how its normal for any fanbase to have that type of opinion, this is more of a new start of the new story of another protagonist than a sequel of the old series and characters.

Many people were expecting it to get a lot interesting cause they wanted to see the life naruto was chilling in living as the hokage and showing his strength on the frontlines, but people started hating it due to the one ironical reason which is his literal son boruto.
Most of the hate that the series gets is cause of the biased fanbase of naruto cause of how the story shifts from naruto to the younger generation and how they show naruto to be.

(FIRST CHAPTER SPOILERS)
Imo the boruto manga did a VERY good job at shifting the attention from the old generation to the new in the first ever chaper by just literally showing how everything from the past ends up in the future which is the first chapter of kawaki vs boruto. It was a reallly good idea of showing how the heroes of the past will no longer be relevant to the godly threats incoming. And how kawaki states that he will "send boruto where he sent the 7th hokage" which was completely indirect, having double meaning, showing how he just referred to the 7th hokage casually, also at the same time showing how the concept of strength evolved in the future with the "End of the shinobi world".We see two references in the beginning with kawaki referring to naruto and boruto wearing sasukes coat and using his sword.

Introduction=10/10

The story pacing and and the style is definitely different and from a completely different perspective that is boruto, kinda like how bnha is set up with the mc narrating how the story of his past came to be. The overall story up from the beginning is fast paced compared to naruto but at the same time it retains its flow and smoothness. Every chapter builds up hype and you dont have any choice but to continue reading once youve gotten involved.

Upto to the point of the latest chapter the hype has just kept on increasing with the buildup of the introduction of new aspects and new characters I feel it does a really good job hype wise, but due to the montly release the storys progression has not been much as it only has 50 chapters till now.

Story=8

As for the new characters there arent much new chars other than the already existing ones from shippuden for me to give a review on it but ISHHIKI a villain from boruto is honestly one of the best villains in narutoverse as a whole and that just gives more hype to the new ones that are gonna be introduced further into the story.

Characters=?/10

Ikemotos art style is really different comparing to naruto, at the beginning the art style was really wierd when kodachi drew the characters in his style but as the chapters kept coming his artstyle progressed and now its really decent id say, but still different vibe than the naruto.

Art=8

Overall for how many chapters the manga has id say im saying right now its in the buildup stage. Boruto definitely has the potential to become one of the best shounen chars and protagonists once the timeskip occurs, for now the manga/anime isnt really a new gen imo considering how almost all the chars are still from naruto and naruto and sasuke themeselves are still in the spotlight (for the most part). But when the time skip occurs it seriously has the potential to become one of the top new gen
