Shingeki no Kyojin review
Attack on Titan is a masterpiece that will go down in histories that's for sure.

Honestly, before I started reading the manga nd watched the anime, I heard great things about it but because of some reason I didn't paid attention to it. But it is one of those that'll make you think why didn't I read it earlier.

Story: 10

The story absolutely phenomenal, at start everything will feel like it's going like a normal apocalypse story.. but slowly everything makes sense from the first part of the chapter as if the start was made for this kind of story to follow up, you feel shivers going down to your spine when you understand the level of writing of the story and slowly everything makes sense as it goes on. In the story of the manga the start to the end is connected. For example- While drinking tea, you drop the cup and it breaks, and you go out to buy another one, but on your way you get into an accident and die and then you wonder what if I hadn't fallen the cup or gone another way, I would've been have been alive.. ( kh.. example over, I hope it doesn't happen to you. ). But the manga is going to end in April and I can't wait.

Art : 8

Honestly, I am not that big of a person fan of Aot art, like I don't hate it nor do I like it, but it is a fact that because of the art you can feel the story more, it feels as if this kind of art was destined or meant to be used in this manga, even though the built up is so unreal, due to it's give a very realistic vibe that you can't deny, the art truly depicts the feeling of the characters in the manga, it's as if there was another kind of art, the story would feel like a big joke, but with this kind of art, it feels as if titans truly exist.. ( just kidding )

Character : 9

I love the characters of AOT, the goddamn characters of this manga are hella fire, their development is SSS-tier. We get to know about each character in-depth, their mental state, like we get to understand the perspective of each character.
From going from a revenge manic to the godlike demon is absolutely horrifying, in terms of character development and coolness and their story I believe Eren to be the best main protagonist of the year.. like man wherever he goes he can't find freedom, so in last there is nothing but destruction.

Overall, this is very enjoyable manga, I recommend it to everyone, this is an complete banger of a manga...

Shingeki no Kyojin review
I usually don't like to write reviews on things that aren't completed, but I couldn't resist this time. I'll be honest, Attack on Titan was one of the first anime I watched, and I really liked it. But the anime is NOTHING compared to this. I expected a simple, mindless action manga, judging by what the anime offered, and the 18 volumes that are out at the moment far exceeded my expectations.
With such a large amount of characters, making readers care about each and every one of them is a difficult thing to pull off, but Isayama does it just fine. I especially liked the arc that focused on Ymir and Christa, I just thought their relationship was so nice and it gave depth to two characters that could have been completely useless. As for Eren, Mikasa, and Armin, they aren't exactly the best main characters, but they're all good in their own way, they all have their flaws and good traits alike. Oh, also, this is a bit off topic but I love that they're none of that "power of friendship" crap that's in most shounen.
**Incoming spoilers**
Now let's talk about the story. I thought that this manga wasn't going to have much story at all, aside from killing titans and making military plans. That all changed with the arc where the Survey Corps decided to overthrow the king and they started to discover more and more about the Titans. While some were upset that we didn't get to see Titans for a while, I think that part did a lot of good for the story.
If I have any complaints about Attack on Titan, it would be the pacing. Some parts are a bit too slow, some too rushed. I also didn't like the way Isayama revealed the Armored and Colossal titans' identities, it didn't feel right.
Overall, Shingeki no Kyojin is an awesome manga that I would totally recommend for lovers of action series, this was a much longer review than I had hoped, and I can't wait for volume 19.

Shingeki no Kyojin review
Hajime Isayama might be one of the greats. Honestly, it sucks hearing about people who still don't get just how genius Attack on Titan is, but I'm writing this review to perhaps eliminate such notions that this manga/show is just another mediocre, mid-tier shounen.

I'd rather not make a broad complaint the focal point of a review in which I hope to change the mind of the group I'm bitching about, but if you did find yourself to be one of the many who dismissed the anime back in 2013 when people wouldn't shut up about it, I beg you to pick it back up and try again.

Attack on Titan's genius doesn't reside in any one component of storytelling; it isn't just the characters, it isn't just the story, it isn't just the art, etc (you get the point). Nay, Attack on Titan's genius is in its presentation as a whole. Foreign literature and television is one of the most challenging mediums to master, especially when specifically considering anime and manga. Much of the world already harbors some unfortunate preconceived notions about the medium, making it difficult to communicate through it effectively outside of Japan -- this is exactly why some shows flop outside of Japan, yet excel in the homeland. When it comes to American viewers specifically, you need a fine balance of two fundamentals to effectively reach your audience: accessibility and complexity. Attack on Titan might be one of the first shows to perfectly hold these two tenets of storytelling in perfect equilibrium, as this show has one of the widest fanbases on the planet.

Attack on Titan's popularity is no fluke either. Sure, the character work in season 1 was mediocre at best, but it succeeded immensely in laying down important groundwork and worldbuilding to appeal to all audiences whilst still working towards a more complex world with increasingly layered plot elements and setups. By season 3, it hooked many who stuck with the show, and managed to demonstrate its prowess as far as stories with rich lore and complex characters are concerned. Finally, Attack on Titan had hit its real stride.

So, where do we stand now? Well, the "final season" (LOL) is being animated currently, and the manga is coming to and end in a mere couple of months. Despite the lack of focus on the manga in this review, I feel as though I have adequately communicated the strengths of the manga. Yes, some moments of Attack on Titan are just made for the big screen, but as far as worldbuilding and character development are concerned, the manga is still managing to find new ways to innovate.

To prospective readers, yes, there are still plenty of twists and the writing only gets better. Though the themes might be pretty common and relatively prevalent in nearly every work, the characters and the circumstances in the world enrich the ideas presented to the audience, in a way that feels ever so refreshing. I am confident that Attack on Titan will do down as one of the classics in just a few years, and deservedly so. Isayama had one of the most calculated and planned stories in existence, and knew exactly how to present it to the world. Hopefully, he doesn't find a way to ruin everything in the next three chapters.

Shingeki no Kyojin review
Spoiler spoiler SPOILER

Story: The story starts so strong, right? wow titans, huge walls, basically a lockdown, there's so many questions like why do titans exists?
All of that was just a 35-40% of the story, Isayama is just insane. This is just a really tragic story with two sides of a coin, when blood is spilled there will be more blood in the future. There's is really no villain in this story, everyone is neutral in this story because it depends on how you see the characters. This manga just goes a whole new level of storytelling.

Art: The art at the beginning it's just good but along the way Isayama really improved with the art, nowdays (131) it's just really good. When it comes to important moments you can understand everything in the panel.

Character: The character development it's just amazing, like i said before there is no villans because in the beginning you may think "Holy shit, that's a huge villain lmao" but there's always a other side to see and understand. The most important character development in this story are Eren and Reiner, the way that they understand each other with tragedy between their backs it's just really mind blowing

Enjoyment: Really great story, everything in this manga is great. There's everything like drama, suspense, horror and really good plot twists.

Overall: Is not finished so yeah, i will just say "this is a 9" no matter how this manga finishes, it's just a great story to remember.

Shingeki no Kyojin review
Yeah, we are in the finale of this manga. Why i write a review now? Just because i want to show some dedication of my number #1 Series. And that's enough if u love something so much. And ofc because there are a lot of early reviews of the manga. So in balance here is my late review.

Story: 10/10
Well, I love the stories reflects to our world. And this series has one of the best of them. With emotions, not just on the characters face, but in my heart too. The first anime episode itself was enough evidence for that. And it gave me the "this is something else" feeling, and in the best way possible. For example Sadis's honesty about the sacrifice of his soldier towards the heartbroken mother. The plot twists sometimes slaps u realy hard. And i like that. Especially when their foreshadowings are right before your eyes. And sometimes u do a huge facepalm: "How i didn't notice that?!" I couldn't wait after the first anime season, that's why i started to read the manga. And i'm realy glad i did. I never made and read theories this much before.

Art: 9/10
Yeah, the art developed so much since the first 2 volume, what was a disappointment for some ppl back then. Nowdays some of the pages has more details than volume 1 itself. And i think Isayama finaly found his own art style. And i'm happy i can see that animated in the anime's finale. Thanks Mappa. For black haired Pieck too. <3

Characters: 8/10
This was the first and still the only one manga/anime that made me love it's own mc. Besides that, there are plenty of interesting characters we can see. They are all have different personalities. Most of them has reasonable acts, and you can understand why are they doing this or that. U will meet with badass and "less badass characters", funny, adorable, smart, jerk and total garbage characters and their combinations, just like irl. But they add to the story or just to the world itself. U will find your favs and the opposite of them. This is a very important thing in this genre.

Enjoyment: 10/10
Do you know the feel when something looks way shorter even if it's a 3 hours long drama? When an anime gives you the 5-10 minutes feel, but then u realize that it's 23-24 minutes in reality, well, then u realy enjoy the hell out of it. SnK is like that and the source manga gives the same feel to me every month like: ,,This was the normal amount of pages?" I want more! This kind of addiction is an another sign that you found ur fav anime/manga.

Overall: 10/10
All of the earlier mentioned things and the feeling that you realy read something special what is different from anything that u've seen and read before and want brainstorming about that all day and all night long.

Shingeki no Kyojin review
Eren and Mikasa live in the Shiganshina district of a huge walled area where what is left of mankind live. What happened to the rest of humanity? Giants have come and started eating them for fun (I know, right? They must have pretty bad indigestion). This is a time and place where luckily (or maybe unluckily for them) there aren’t any of those distastefully destructive nuclear bombs so it’s pretty hard to get rid of the giants.
Eren has always wished to go see beyond the walls that cage him and had since then aspired to become a part of the Scouting Legion, who go outside the walled habitat while killing titans (aka. giants). Regrettably, the Scouting Legion also has an eyebrow-raising mortality rate and his mama wasn’t all too happy to realise her son wants to throw his life away in the Legion. However… His dad didn’t make too much of a big deal out of it, so…

Audience: Hey! What happened?
READ IT TO FIND OUT!
*Huffs*

Now, I'll be honest with you. I'm not that of a great big fan of the fantasy genre, so, having said that, considering that this IS a work of fantasy: it must be awesome and it sure is.

I mean, once you get used to huge-ass giants trying to eat people and that mankind has almost gone extinct (yeah, I know, you have to get used to a LOT).
THEN! You will start to enjoy this series, sure, I ain’t crazy about the fact that the giants look like anatomy figures however, the characters and the art make up for that.

So, let’s pick on the characters, starting with the main character, Eren. Eren has this thirst to see past the walls of ‘safety’ (aka. the containment area where people live for their own SAFETY [you might have guessed that I’m not a big fan of ‘safety’ walls]), the only means for him to do that is to join the Scouting Legion which is literally, the front lines. This just goes to show that he's either EXTREMELY curious about what’s behind the walls and is brave beyond rational thinking or he’s just plain crazy.

From {reading} experience, I can tell you that he isn’t the latter.

Audience: AWWWW! We wanted some crazy-people action!

Well, you’re not getting it from here.

Not only that, but Eren’s also shown interest in being part of the Scouting Legion because…

Did you REALLY think I’ll tell you all the dirty details? Pfffffffft.

But basically, the characters are really interesting. Each has their own solid personality, that are pretty realistic to be honest if you remember the setting of the story. You see complex types of thinking; which means that the characters aren’t stereotypical (HUZZAH!).
The illustrations further add to the plot and characters.

The illustrations were a lovely, refreshing breath of non-sparkly side-effects. It wasn’t that very detailed but the expert use of shading is beyond me. I didn’t think shading could make such a difference until I read this Manga, it gave it that extra 'ummph' that breathed life into the characters. Startlingly, it was also proportionate and even though it wasn’t THAT detailed, it was detailed, there's no denying.

Overall, I really enjoyed reading this novel, maybe for the simple truth of character growth. We started this story when the characters were kids until they grew up to be a set of fine lads and gals. It is a story technique that is unfortunately lost upon the mainstream goop with its lack of memorable characters and their flimsy personalities not excluding the overly done side effects; by the way, if you’re confused, I am talking about mainstream stories not the CrAzY good Manga that is being reviewed.

Audience: Yeaaaaah… We knew that ALL along! Right, guys? Guys..?

*Cricket noises*

Back to the point, I want to point out that the author is pretty daring to put their fictitious world on paper, they must be quite patient to use the child-to-adult plot technique and may have an ingenious quality because of the fact that when all is said and done, the Manga is STILL good.

Aside from its’ sly backstabbing on religion and its’ slight promotion of atheism, it is Manga you can't put down. I’d recommend it for its’ spunk and most importantly for its’ remarkable characters.

P.S.
Some of which kick MAJOR hard-core neck!
(Audience: Whaaaat?
You read that right, figure it out by reading the Manga)

Shingeki no Kyojin review
Alright, I just finished my marathon reading the last chapter up to date.

I don't think there is a more difficult manga for me to review except AOT since there is so few mangas like it. I've never experienced anything like it.

When I first started hearing about all the hype behind the manga I just had to start getting involved and know more about it but I just couldn't quite enjoy nor feel this involvement that everybody was so hyped about while reading the first chapters. You know nothing about the characters yet disaster is coming upon these people you're supposed to care about and you're put into this universe so mysterious and intriguing while not really sure if you're interested in knowing more about it since it can be a lot of informations to digest. The anime definetly helped me with its great pace and intense rhythm to always keep my heart running and on track with everything occurring.

The universe of Attack On Titan isn't beautiful, neither is the art really. Nothing in the manga really is. Except in its ability to show the complexity and depths of humanity. This manga is not trying to sell us a great trip on a fantasy world full of dreams and hopes. It exposes to us the works and minds of humanity in the most realistic way. It's the most realistic manga I've ever read, every decision being made in it doesn't feel stupid or unnecessary cause it would truly would have been done in the world we live in. The way the morals and social behaviors are portrayed are simply breathtakingly realistic. There are displayed in a way where you almost feel like there are no heros, no good or bad guys but just mere people trying to fight for what they think is right. There are depicted some important realities humans live by not knowing if what you fight for is right but merely because you were taught so by your national education. There are many moral and emotional subjects that AOT adresses but this one is the biggest so far.

But this obviously isn't the reason why we were all sucked into this story.

The atmosphere is where it's at. Although I didn't feel it at first this is where all the intensity comes from. This very mysterious universe waiting to be discovered, the perpetual danger constantly threatening us. There is never a time to sleep or rest in this world and so very few moments aren't intense and crucial. As the manga goes on the intensity only grows although there can be time for flashbacks and moments where the story needs to be unfolded but it only makes the drama more and more intense and unexpected.

Story 10/10
This manga does a perfect job to tell a story. It really feels like Isayam as worked on this story to the end, every plot details conjunct perfectly from the beginning to the latest chapters. Every single thing make so much sense that it's scary while having so much twists and turns with almost every single chapters I tip my bonnet to you Isayama-san.

Art 7/10
Welp I think point it's clear with this rating. Not great but not bad either. Great backgrounds and landscapes. I feel like the faces are weird a little too often. The fights are great but could be better I think, especially human fights but titans are perfect. I appreciate the fact that it's not pretty cause it doesn't try to so I could give it one more point for that.

Character 9/10
Could've given it a 10, I just think there could have been more charismatic characters. Now it's the issue cause the main point is to not show charisma to not give away unrealistic feelings that we can't compare to, so the point is to picture normal people that kinda look like us. But still I wish there was more badass looking characters kinda like Levi or Erwin so 9.

Enjoyment 11/10
I don't think I've been this involved and excited about a manga ever. I think every manga gives you different types of feelings so I can't compare but still, the intensity in it is so overwhelming I don't think anything could compare. Actually anything.

Overall 10/10

I already said my piece in the beginning. Where some manga (considered masterpieces) are great and there stray from there core and story AOT manages to be always focused on it as it's ground which makes is so great. While still be able to be in awe and expetancy, it's a remarkable work only to accomplish that. Redondance, boredness and lack is something this manga doesn't know.
Perfect.
Masterpiece.

(changed character from 9 to 10 considering the variety of morals implemented that is a masterpiece work of its own. It requires so much objectivity it's almost non-human I just can't give it a 9)

Shingeki no Kyojin review
Attack On Titan, a classic manga of the 2000s. It's an absolute must read to any manga addict.

Story 10/10

Honestly, it's hard to rate a story a 10/10 for me. But I have to give Attack on Titan a 10. First off, the setting. Here we have humans in a world filled with Titans, creatures who feed on humans more for fulfillment rather than need. As the last of humanity is contained within walls like a cage for their own protection, few humans including the protagonist seek to uncover the mystery behind these mysterious Titans. The story revolves around the perspective of our main character Eren Jaeger, a assertive teenage boy who has an incredible amount of resolve to defeat the Titans.

This in itself is a great foundation for a shounen story. There's a protagonist with a strong motive and a clear but also mysterious antagonist/s. You have no doubt that it's a shounen manga. Then there's comes the mystery of the story. As you keep reading on, questions keep coming into your head. What's special is that the characters ask themselves the same questions. So you're entwined in the mystery and depth of the story. The story constantly reveals clues and evidence to the real history behind the Titans and the Walls that you're so engrossed that you can binge the series hours on end and not feel fatigue.

Art 8/10

The art is very unorthodox in shounen manga. But it works for the story enhancing the feel and look of the characters. What I don't like is the extreme sketchiness of the art. It sometimes seems a bit too unclean and unpleasant. But the strong point of the story is the depiction of movement in the art. It's not hard to make out what's going on and the movement of the pictures really depict a scene just like that from a movie.

Character 9/10

The characters are another strong point in the series. The main protagonist can come off as annoying as times, he's like a repulsive teenager. On his side he has two close friends, one being his adoptive sister Mikasa who seems to be obsessed with him. But all the characters seem to very well balance each other and create a great atmosphere in the series. The characters develop accordingly and you see a lot of development between the three main characters as they progress. You see the main character mature as he goes and you see Armin slowly start to acknowledge his place.

Enjoyment 9/10

Overall, just super enjoyable to read. What a great read honestly. It's thrilling exciting and indulges your thinking and curiosity.

Overall 9/10

Just a fantastic shounen manga and a must read to newbies in the anime and manga universe.

Shingeki no Kyojin review
*DISCLAIMER: There are spoilers ahead for chapters 91-130*
Shingeki no Kyojin, what a series it is. After watching seasons 1-3 of the anime, I couldn’t help but continue through the manga, but I didn’t expect to be so blown away by the amount of crazy things that happen throughout the Marley and War for Paradis arcs as of so far. From Gabi killing Sasha to the rumbling and Eren’s Founding Titan form, SnK chapters 91-130 pack major heat, and there’s no signs of slowing down in the future.

Story: 10/10
For me, the story was near perfection. We get to see how each of our beloved characters have evolved since earlier, but we also get to see a slew of new and enticing characters. The thing that really made the story for fantastic for me, however, was the constant questioning of who the enemy truly is. At first, it seems clear, Marley is the enemy, but as you go deeper, you get to see how Eren’s intentions for the rumbling, Historia, etc. are vastly different from the others, and it creates a new common enemy for both the people of Marley, Eldia, and the world. The Yeagerists. We get to see how these people come together against the biggest threat to the entire world, and although the manga hasn’t finished yet, I’m sure Isayama has a lot more planned for the story and how it will evolve. One of my favorite things about Isayama, however, is his genius in showing us so many things in front of our eyes without us suspecting a thing. An example of this is from SnK’s 4th anime ending. We see Historia fall into water as she reaches for Ymir’s hand, similar to how Ymir Fritz fell into the water that made her become the original Founder. Isayama loves to hint at things within something as small as an ending, yet it makes the story that much better for me, as it shows how figures of the past relate to the present day.

Art: 8/10
I feel for the amount of things that happen at once throughout SnK, the art is very good. There are times when there’s so much going on, an example being Paradis’s raid on Marley, yet there is still so much attention to detail, down to every piece of rubble. I’m not one to be able to critique manga art, however, due to the fact that this is the only manga I’ve read, but from I read, I thought that it was very well done.

Character: 9/10
The characters in this portion of SnK encompass every angle of the ongoing conflicts. We get to see how characters, such as Gabi, evolve from being warriors, killing and massacring the proclaimed “island devils”, into being someone who understands who the Eldians truly are, not a race of devils, but humans. We get to see how every single character evolves, whether it be for good or bad. For me, the character development is perfectly captured through a quote by Eren. “You are not a slave. You are not a god either. You are just a human being.” We get to see how every character changes their perspectives on one another. At first, they saw each other as devils without emotion. But as time went on, they realized that they were just like them. Human beings.

Enjoyment: 10/10
For me, SnK chapters 91-130 were incredible. I found myself gawking at the amount of crazy things that happened. I was screaming at my screen as I read. I shared in the emotions each character had. Each chapter had something new for me to consider, and as I read, I kept being blown away by the amount of amazing, exciting, and interesting things. One of those jump out of my seat moments was the awakening of the wall titans. Watching Eren and Zeke go through each memory, and seeing Eren talk to Ymir, it all had me stunned. By the time Eren’s Founding Titan form began showing, while the wall titans began to become free, I was completely frazzled. The amount of times that chapters 91-130 made me feel that was amazing, and it made my enjoyment levels so much higher.

Overall: 10/10
SnK chapters 91-130 weren’t flawless, but with the amount of elaborate story telling, character development, action, and just incredible moments, I believe that it deserves a 10/10. SnK has made me look at other anime and manga differently. SnK, for me so far, is peak manga/anime. It continues to keep me drawn in, always awaiting more to come. Isayama continues to shock me with every chapter, and because of his brilliance, I give SnK chapters 91-130 a decisive 10/10. (Note: this was my first “proper” review, so I’m sorry if I messed anything up)
