Chainsaw Man

I started this manga and it was an 8 by the end of the first chapter; a 9 by the end of the 15th. By the 90th chapter, I was in tears. I didn't want this to be my first 10 on MAL, but my experience with Chainsaw Man was just too great not to. Read it.

This story could be told in the simplest way. It does have some level of intrigue, especially as the second act draws to a close, but it's a pretty straightforward arc from A to B (albeit with a nicely-foreshadowed third-act twist). Where Tatsuki Fujimoto really excels is in the detail. The sequential art offers a sensitive, pitch-perfect sense of mood and timing: an abortive hookup after a work party; the eerie brightness of a classroom after hours in a thunderstorm; the sky above a suburb, before the peace is ripped apart by an explosion; a laughing woman; a devastating list of names.

The characters, too, are expertly drawn. I don't usually like Denji or Aki's character archetypes in manga, but you can bet they both broke my heart several times over. I felt Denji's bonds with Power, Aki, and especially Pochita like a punch in the heart, and [[BIG SPOILERS YOU HAVE PROBABLY GUESSED]] Makima is the scariest villain in recent shonen. If you wanted to, Chainsaw Man could very easily be read as a manga about the emotional debts people owe to other people, and how taxing it is to fulfil them. Sometimes, relationships can never be dealt with in a way which satisfies everyone, and understanding that can be unbearable. Hence it can just as easily be read as a story about grief and loss, even though about half its main cast can't really die.

In my case, one of the first things that made me really fall in love with this work is its sincere, serious treatment of the workplace. It compassionately draws characters of all ages and nationalities and confronts them with a subtle, truthful vision of working life; at times it almost becomes a very dark sitcom. Even though Denji is 16 at story start, the manga makes very clear that this is a story about an adult world.

And then a man with a chainsaw for a head rides a shark into the side of a building.

Honestly, this is one of the best action movies I've seen and it's not even a film. If that's what you're here for, the art is dynamic, characterful, visceral and often gruesome - and the fight scenes don't let up. There are many of them, and all the while Fujimoto is endlessly creative with setting, framing and choreography.

The story has just reached an important pause: I exhort you to take this opportunity to get through the first 97 chapters and prepare for whatever's coming next. It's a hell of a ride.

A pretty big reason why I enjoyed this manga is because it manages to have quick pacing while not compromising on the over all story. Fujimoto can show how characters are feeling in a more realistic and laid-back way, no over the top crying and no 10 chapter grieving arc. Not that these tropes are necessarily that bad, but its a breath of fresh air to see the characters move on from loss in a more quiet way.

How the main character Denji's understanding of love and intimacy develops over the course of the manga is great. First he has a very juvenile goal of just "wanting to touch some boobs." Later when he achieves this goal he feels empty, turns out simply touching boobs isn't what he thought it would be, what he really wants is to be close with someone he cares about. At one point Denji even turns down sex not because he doesn't want to have it, but because he wants his first time to be with someone he cares about.

This manga is can also be very bizarre and genuinely hilarious at times. Be it a weird spontaneous joke, or a continuing gag, I found it funny to some degree and usually I'm not a fan of Shonen humor so I guess that's saying something.

As far as the art is concerned it can be a bit rough every once in a while, but in the big moments the art is really great. The characters anatomy is on point and character design is also good too, despite most characters just wearing suits. But where the art shines most of all is with the devils. Fujimoto can draw some seriously badass, terrifying or both demon designs. Also Fujimoto can draw some really cute girls so that's always a plus.

The final antagonist's build up, reveal and defeat where great. Fujimoto does a great job foreshadowing their eventual betrayal of the main characters. The antagonist's power, once revealed, recontextualizes all of their interactions with the other characters thought out the manga, making rereading it a lot more interesting.

A problem I had with the manga was the ending was a bit abrupt. Maybe I was just sad to see the story end but I feel there could have been a bit more to how the final antagonist was defeated.

Yeah so overall really great, exited for part 2, also the anime adaptation.

I had high expectations for this because everyone spoke well about this manga and I was not disappointed. The art is wonderful, it has incredible panels that you have to take time to appreciate every detail. The author does not mince words when it comes to portraying morbidities and killing each character that is introduced, something that few authors do.

I have several favorite characters in this one, such as Makima, Aki, Beam, Violence, Kobeni, etc.

* Spoiler * In the final arc I thought that Makima beat Denji but I was wrong, I was taken by surprise that fact and I still find that the fact that Denji defeated her is something that doesn't quite convince since she is Makima, the immortal control demon but despite that, I liked the ending, I just didn't want Makima to die ... she was my favorite character.

My thought in Makima is that the author wrote it so well and I am fascinated that there is a powerful and well written female character. Pochita in the end had told Denji that the control demon aka Makima only wanted a good life without bad things (which would be hunger, death and war, that's why she wanted to take the chainsaw and eat these demons and achieve the good life ) but since she took the wrong path due to the influence of the Government, that's why Kishibe leaves Denji in charge of reincarnating the control demon so that she would not be influenced by the Government and return to take the path of Makima.

I hope that part 2 shows Makima's past and how he took that path.

PS: Chapter 85 is pure black humor, I did not know whether to cry or laugh at the drastic change from going to see characters die and fights to see the chainsaw order a hamburger and Kobeni falling to the floor with that.

Le tenía buenas expectativas ya que todos hablaban maravillas de este manga y no me decepciono. Su arte es maravilloso, tiene paneles increíbles que uno mismo se tiene que dar el tiempo de apreciar cada detalle. El autor no tiene pelos en la lengua a la hora de retratar morbosidades y matar a cada personaje que se introduce, algo que pocos autores hacen.

Tengo varios personajes favoritos en este, tales como Makima, Aki, Beam, Violencia, Kobeni, etc.

* Spoiler * En el arco final pensaba que Makima le ganó a Denji pero estuve equivocada, me tomo de sorpresa ese hecho e igual siento que fue sacado de onda el hecho de que Denji le ganará ya que es Makima, el demonio de control inmortal pero a pesar de eso me gusto el final, sólo no quería que Makima muriera... era mi personaje favorito.

Mi pensamiento en Makima es que el autor la escribio tan bien y me facina que haya un personaje femenino poderosa y bien escrita. Pochita en el final le había dicho a Denji que el demonio de control aka Makima solo quería una vida buena sin cosas malas (que sería el hambre, muerte y guerra, por eso quería tomar al motosierra y se comiera estos demonios y lograr la buena vida) pero como tomo el mal camino debido a que la influencia del Gobierno, por eso Kishibe deja a cargo a Denji de la reencarnación del demonio de control para que no fuera influenciada por el Gobierno y volviera a tomar el camino de Makima.

Espero que en la parte 2 se muestre el pasado de Makima y como fue que tomo aquel camino.

PD: El capítulo 85 es puro humor negro, no sabía si llorar o reír por el cambio drástico de pasar a ver morir personajes y peleas a ver al motosierra pedir una hamburguesas y Kobeni cayéndose al piso con ellas.

Its An Awesome and cool manga, Good characters, story, Art, Style and good concept.
its a very good read and has a lot of likeable characters.
When there's no action the art its simple but when action kicks in its super detailed and cool
i really recommended its a fascinating manga with all the needs for a good time and much fun characters like power and Denji. Also enjoy makima good reasons

This was a great read from start to finish, and I love the cast, art, humour and action. Theres something about the characters that makes them so likeable, whether that be their past, their intentions or their personality, whatever it is you'll find a character that makes u laugh and relate to for the rest of the series. Denji's reactions are raw and innocent, something most modern Mc's lack As well as his straight forwardness to life, like how he just wants sex, tits and makima (me too). Theres little bullshit when explaining lore, and the dialogue is short and snappy, always moving forward at a good balanced pace of action and character development.

However if there's one thing I've been a bit nit picky about the series is that the explanation of the devils is a bit shallow, the world of the devils even now seems a bit foreign when re reading. I would love to see more of the devils side to life especially pochitas, and the plot tends to focus on the main character a bit too much, leaving little room for the supporting cast. The focus of the story seems to fluctuate every here and there and the end goal of the story isn't quite strong enough to push the plot forward sometimes.

Overall a great manga from start to finish, acing in almost every aspect I look for in a manga, but there were a few missing pieces to the puzzle none the less.

Okay, this is my second review so I hope I get my oppinion through as intended. Here we go.

I discovered Chainsaw Man by zapping through the recent updates in the site that I read at, and it caught my attention. I read one chapter to see what it was all about, and I can't say that it got me hooked, but I read every chapter available at the time in an hour or so. I treated it as kind of my guilty pleasure, seeing that it was not anything revolutionary, and it was pretty basic, but I found myself enjoying it. Now, with the latest chapters, I think it has improved a bit, and is not as bad as I thought.

The setting and story is as generic as the most generic Japanese crap you can think of. A world with demons where people are hired to kill specific demons yadda yadda, generic. But what I found while reading is that Chainsaw Man doesn't give a shit about its setting. What it focuses on is on its characters. We are introduced to a cast of characters that might give an impression as to being also generic, and at first they kinda are, but as the story moves forward you see that Fujimoto-san wanted to give a twist to what we're used to. Denji comes forth as every shonen protagonist can be, but throws that out the window by not having any dream to fulfill, he's poor and he wants to stop being it, but *spoilers I guess* he accomplishes that in the first chapter. His focus then shifts to just having sex with the girl who saved him. Yeah, pretty lame, but I guess that's the idea around his character. Another example is Aki, who may look like the typical emo "I hate the world" guy but is pretty kindhearted and has a fairly good reason for being how he is.

I can't say much for character development since at the time of writing this only 33 chapters are out, but I can feel like glimpses of change in some characters are appearing.

Art is a big concern in this manga. Tatsuki Fujimoto is not the kind of artist that usually gets me, I use to read "prettier" manga, but his grim, kinda ugly style fits Chainsaw Man perfectly. Also, Denji's transformation scenes are brutally awesome, and no-one can deny that.

In summary, Chainsaw Man is pretty good, but we'll have to see how it evolves. It can either go very good or become mediocre. Hoping for the former.

Chainsaw Man is rough, sleazy and fundamentally nihilistic. Ceaseless destruction and death is on the menu, and the plot isn't slowing down service. It is horrible, but it is also horror. Having watched several videos recommending "Chainsaw Man" and distinctly remembering some mentions of the MCs emotional development as being uplifting I feel I've been sold a bag. The MC has had a HORRIBLE life, and is a rather disgusting and strange individual partially as a result of it (possibly also because he has a devil for a heart). He does develop and change as the manga goes on, struggling against hedonistic sexual desire and nihilism, but has he conquered them? Certainly not at the point I've got to in the story. I'm not sure he will either given the current situation he has found himself in... And that's the real struggle for me! Yes, the story is littered with rather strange, and raw pieces of emotional ammunition. But broken people are everywhere, both by design and as a result of the circumstances they find themselves in. It's hard to feel like you are witnessing the birth of the transcendent when the latest characters have just gone through the blender. I would like to give propts to the rather unorthodox art style though (whether it born through ineptitude or conscious deliberation). It magnifies the raw, unfiltered show on display quite fantastically. Character replies are given in a single loosely constructed frame, almost begging to be read in to. What do they really feel? Fellow reviewers would do well to recognise that not all stories benefit from the universally acclaimed art of One Punch Man or Vagabond. After all, the mind of the maniac is unlikely to draw you a pretty picture. So, while I wait for the end of Chainsaw Man, and debate whether there is anything redemptive or uplifting about this journey, I do recommend it purely for the ride itself. It's manic and disgusting with some morbidly creative ideas and arcs. It even strikes with a red hot poker of crystalline emotional clarity every now and then.

Chainsaw Man! I secretly love this manga specially the art I dont know why but it gives me a nostalgic vibe of Ugly Americans art so about the story I think its great .. its straight to the point, the characters are likeable and not perfect so you can always relate on some actions and thoughts .. I would say pretty down to earth on what the author wanted to show .. I didnt liked the way towards the ending .. especially ** SPOILERS ** When Aki turned evil but I liked the concept of it .. its a good fitting end for him and Control Devil vs Gun Devil I felt that it was a bit confusing and rushed .. I dont really like stories that rush too much or characters that die too fast but I get the point and where the story wanted to show by it and Chainsaw Man does that a lot compared to the usual mangas out there and its good .. gives it an unique thing to it but at the same time it could be forgettable for the reader to just reach the end and forget about the characters after a while but thats my take on it .. Hoping that the continuation will introduce us on something new .. I really liked where it ended with Denji and Power and I would love a reunion on Part 2 ..
Overall I recommend it but dont get too attached with one character or two.

Top tier Shonen with fast pacing like a jojo part.
The story has some nice twists but flows naturally while having repeated themes and a lot of action.
It Has Awesome villain designs, gore art and good paneling.

Wow, I really gotta write more without giving spoilers I could easily write 500 characters if I know could mention specific things it would be more enjoyable, I only ever read anything after watching an anime so I have open mind. otherwise u contribute to the bandwagoning that makes shitty series popular.

I have heard a lot of positive reviews and recommendations about this manga through social media such as Tiktok, Twitter, and many more. So I thought why don't I give it a try?

Story: Oh boy, basically there's a boy named Denji who wants to live happily from poverty however he was killing demons to paid his father's debt. And then became a Chainsaw man and fight devils, this concept has been used by many shounen but this manga has very interesting addition on its own. Its unexpected plot twists are the reason I liked the story.

Art: I'm actually amazed at how good is the art, a lot of blood, and a lot of sh*t happening that I have to read it twice. Most of the panels were so detailed you can see the gruesome of this manga.

Character: Well, I don't hate the characters but there some characters that I disliked. The devil designs are ok, not too childish. But some character makes me confuse because they look a lot similar.

Enjoyment: Things happened, some parts make me mad, some parts make me sad, and some parts make me want to throw up (literally). However some chapters make me comfortable and happy, so pretty much I enjoy most of it.

Overall, this manga is not recommended to people who don't like gruesome manga. I wish I could rate it 9 instead of 8 because of sh*ts that so disturbing for me. Somehow I still like this manga, looking forward to read part 2 of "Chainsaw Man"

Oh boy, where do I begin. Let's start off by saying that Chainsaw Man is by far, my favorite Shonen Jump manga of all time, and a contender for my personal favorite manga of all time. It hits all the spots when it comes to an interesting concept, fun characters, exciting plot, great pacing, gruesome art, you name it. Now, let's stop fanboying and let me explain in more detail.

Chainsaw Man sets place in a world inhabited by devils that come from and are empowered by people that fear their concept. Our young main character, Denji, along with his partner in crime Pochita who is the Chainsaw Devil, are tasked with hunting devils in order to clear his late father's large debt. After a series of unfortunate events, Pochita fuses with Denji in order to become the half-devil half-human, Chainsaw Man, and is hired by the mysterious Makima in order to hunt devils in exchange for the opportunity to live a decent life in the Devil Hunter association.

PLOT
Chainsaw Man is unique in the sense that it's a more character-driven story rather than a grand main goal that our main character announces and sets off to accomplish. However, there are continuous plot points set up in every arc, and the recurring plot theme can be considered as Denji having to fight enemies who are out to steal his Chainsaw heart. One of the most famous critiques of Chainsaw Man is that the story can be seen as too complex or nonsense, but I believe that's not really the case. The way I see it, the author distracts the audience's attention with bizarre and nonsensical comedy that comes of as hilarious but can also leave the audience confused at the strange humor, because the gags can often times happen during serious scenarios where the humor is unexpected. Now add that to the fact that most chapters are topped off with lots of mind-bending plot revelations and twists, people will likely get confused because they're trying to predict too far ahead instead of giving the author the benefit of the doubt. You can't have all the answers instantly in your grasp, just digest what has happened in the story so far, and keep the questions you have in the back of your head, they'll most likely be answered in the near future. My advice if you're confused by the story is to focus on what's happening visually as well, this manga is the definition of "Show, Don't Tell". All in all, the initial premise of Chainsaw Man sparks lots of interest, and the mysterious underlying plot with it's fantastic pacing and execution makes it an enjoyable experience to immerse yourself in the story.

CHARACTERS
The cast of Chainsaw Man is incredibly fun to watch, the trio main characters have a great dynamic together, whilst still being strong characters individually. In the span of 86 chapters, this manga is able to develop quite a handful of characters, even fodder ones. It's difficult to explain without spoiling, but Denji and Aki have some of the greatest character growth I've seen in any manga. Minor character are also given strong personalities that shine even when they'll never show up again, due to how they're usually accompanied with dialogue that's able to make them very likable.

ART
Tatsuki Fujimoto is a great artist, some may say that the art in Chainsaw Man is lacking compared to other Jump titles, and I don't disagree, but the panel composition enhances the storytelling to such a masterful degree. It's also accompanied by intense double-page spreads that are filled with momentum and always packs a punch. The artwork also encompasses the manga in such a gloomy post-apocalyptic-like atmosphere, which is a perfect tone for the manga. Chainsaw Man is also brilliant at outlining character emotions and facial expression. Along with barely having to read any text, the manga uses the advantage of it's visuals to the fullest, it's not afraid to use multiple pages of just silence to establish a mood for the readers. The panels and structure of the manga feels similar to storyboards, this could be what Fujimoto intended because he himself is a huge fan of films. The linework and shading may not be as clean, but the factors mentioned prior more than makes up for it.

ADDRESSING COMMON CRITIQUES
1) Denji is a bad main character
Denji is sometimes regarded as a dumb horny teen with no goals, which makes him a bad main character. While there's truth to that statement, it's highly oversimplified. Denji is stupid because he actually has a reason to be, unlike a lot of MCs that are stupid as a trope, Denji is stupid because he genuinely did not have an educational background. He was in deep poverty and so out of touch with the world, that what he sees as his "Best Life", is having a hot meal and sleeping on a nice bed. His brain is so stunted that not only can't he make smart decisions, but he can't even dream big. His horniness was also more of a phase, he quickly learnt that there was no meaning in sexual activity without genuine connection to the other person first.

2) Characters are killed off too quickly/without no reason
It's important to understand that being a Devil Hunter is the MOST DANGEROUS JOB IN THE WORLD, and our main characters are not immune to that danger. Killing off characters gives a more realistic approach to the story, and it's not also just for shock value. You see, even after death, some characters are still used in the story (well, atleast their corpses are), these characters still play a role in the narrative. Some character deaths also directly cause character development for the rest of the cast. Also, is it really "shock value", or surprising when characters that were predestined to die in the story and the fact that we were even warned about their death several chapters ago... well... die?

3) Plot is too confusing or nonsensical
Fortunately, I've already addressed this "issue" underneath the Plot category of this review.

TL;DR - Read Chainsaw Man

NOTE: As of the making of this review, 86 chapters of Chainsaw Man has been released.

This was hard to rate and while I was originally intending on giving it an overall 7, I've ultimately decided it was an 8 for me. Exclusively because of how fun and enjoyable the whole thing was.

Story: 6/10

The story isn't anything special. A lot of people were praising it but it just felt like a shorter, lazier tokyo ghoul. At times, it felt unnecessarily edgy and everything was just so rushed, like the mangaka just wanted to get it over with.

In a game of cards, you don't show your opponents your hand until the very end but here it felt like the author was just emptying out his resources and then creating new characters and plots out of nowhere because he had nothing to work with anymore.

Art: 7/10

Meh... It was alright, I guess. Nothing special, kinda sloppy BUT since the manga was released in a weekly magazine, It sorta makes sense.

Characters: 7/10

All the characters felt weirdly two dimensional. They all had one sole gimmick and didn't seem to change much from there aside from the author making power act extremely ooc with the protagonist in the later chapters, I assume because he plans on pushing this pair in the later parts.

Though I guess it's kinda hard to develop a character properly when you keep killing them off for shock value (which this manga ka in particular seems to think is an amazing, revolutionary plot device).

The character designs varied a ton too, some were amazing and others were just the same character with a different scar placement.

Even the concept of characters sacrificing their body because "power comes at a price" was already done and outdone by a certain magical girl anime/mobile game.


Enjoyment: 9/10

This is where chainsawman's entire strength lies. Yes, it's far from the perfect manga, but is it enjoyable? HELL YES

If you want to lose yourself to a short, fast paced manga you won't be able to drop until you're done with it: you're in the right place.

chainsaw man sounds stupid but 85 chapters in I can see that this could be one of the shounen jumps biggest titles.

story- 9. the story of chainsaw man starts off slow but its uniqueness and interesting main character keep it going for the first few chapters, the first 40 chapters are quite entertaining but fro then it start to expand and things start to get alot crazier, the story would have been an 8 but the recent chapters have been phenomenal and opens up to a lot more behind what we are seeing right now.

Art - 8 the art isn't too special or anything, the normal drawings for are good enough but there could be a bit more shading to give the characters more depth, where Tatsuki Fujimoto excels is with the character designs, they are bold, unique and look incredible, especially chainsaw mans design

characters- 9 some of the side characters are a bit generic the three best characters in this manga have to be Denji, power and makima. power is just the best comic relief character tbh. Denji has a lot of development throught the manga as he gets deceived and often betrayed making him better and better each time. makima has to be the most interesting character as she is mostly a mysterious and manipulative character. overall all the characters are great and are surprisingly funny too

enjoyment - 10 this is one of the most entertaining manga I've read so far, every chapter is always so interesting and fun to read especially the ones with actions scenes are absolute eye candy!

overall - 9 this a bloody great manga to start right now because it's only got 85 chapters and is definitely my favourite manga this year, the only reason that stops this from getting a 10 is the fact that some of the etchi stuff in this is just way too weird to the point that it's not really fan service it's just uncomfortable. also, the art for the normal characters could be a bit better but it can be improved later on. id highly recommend this manga for those who like seinen but with more shounen like characters, people ripping faces off, an excellent story and weird etchi! When this gets an anime it's definitely going to blow up even more and will become one of the most popular anime.

Chainsaw man is fun. If you love shounen-type battles mixed with the gore and intensity of that of a seinen, you'll enjoy this manga thoroughly. But with that being said, if you are the type that enjoys a more slower-paced narrative filled with bright-eyed youths overcoming challenges and growing together as a whole... This one probably isn't for you, but that's not a bad thing.

Chainsaw man follows the story of Denji, a protagonist that I feel can relate to many of us that read shounen magazines. Most of his childhood, leading into his adolescence, was spent hunting devils in order to pay off the debt of his father. He never got to enjoy the childlike wonder and joy that comes with being a kid, and the fear of losing his teenage years slower creeps up his spine.

Eat a decent meal. Play videogames. See a shitty movie. Kiss a girl.

The goal of capturing his fleeting youth makes Denji one of the more grounded characters in all of modern jump, solidifying him as one of my favorite protagonists of all time.

Bringing this into focus, I avoided talking about the other characters and villains of the story because, for me, Denji is the real meat and potatoes of the story. "dUh HeS tHe PrOtAg", and you are right to say this. But the rating categories already express how I feel about those things so I just wanted to focus more on Denji because I honestly feel as though your opinion on Denji will determine whether-or-not you'll enjoy the overall story. And I also didn't want to spoil the villain reveal because it's AWESOME.

But to close, Chainsaw man is a fun, action-packed series that, like our childhood, wants you to strap in and enjoy the ride because it is very fast and is here for a good time, not a long-time.

This is an incredible manga. The art-style is sketchy and rough in a way that really compliments the incredibly fun fights. While the initial concept of using devil powers to fight devils is a bit redundant, Chainsaw Man puts a fresh spin on it- and isn't afraid to make the devils terrifying or even outright disgusting.

The characters are memorable and lovable; I found myself attached to members of the cast that, on paper, I should have hated. They have a surprising amount of depth to them which really helps you see them as more than simple tropes.

Be Warned: this manga is DARK. While it is fun and hilarious, it is also gory, violent and, at times unflinchingly brutal; it also contains a surprising amount of quiet sadness and good ol' fashioned depression.

Chainsaw Man isn't for everyone. But it IS incredible. If you are even remotely considering reading it, I cannot recommend it to you enough.

my first revei so its gonna be bad but in short i hate that i read this when i heard there was gonna be an anime called chainsaw man i was very exited for the potential gorefest but seeing that its gonna take a while i had to be patient but every goddamn time i looked at it the manga readers raved about how good it was so to satiate my curiosity read the first two chapters which were quite enjoyable so i did that and left it alone for two days and came back to binge read it then only thinking in mind about the gore but holy shit this series did something to me emotionally and that's why i hate that i read it because as an anime fan i love animation and after just finishing this not onlydid i think wellfuck that was good but a slight i aish i cried because i definitely cant wait to see it animated and i will but now when i do eventually see it il be think well shit i know what's gonna happen all in all great read sorry for my bad review

Currently still reading, but overall the characters are enjoyable, the plot is fantastic and its simple.

Denji has a fantastic personality, enjoyable character development same with Power, and Makima.

The art makes it very realistic and enjoying the way the fight scenes are and cannot wait for adaption for the fight scenes.

The Story- the way this story is driven feels like Jujutsu Kaisen, same opening concept, but different views of it. One man becomes a demon hunter another becomes a curse hunter.
Overall the story thus far is interesting too keep me out my seat and waiting for the adaption to come soon.

This is one of the fewest manga that made me read all the way and finished it in just a day, the artwork of the fight scene and the "spicy" moments is so fucking great, I loved how the world worked and I loved me some manga that's devil related. there's different personality in each and every character, there's the "edgy" type(which is the protagonist/mc), cool type, wimpy type and the tomboyish but adorable type, etc..(and fucking finally the "edgy" type protagonist/mc isn't like those cringy "depression/anti-social/shut-in gamer mc in one of those isekai anime) not to mention I loved how the mc is experience "love difficulties" like he doesn't know why did he falls in loves with another women even though he has alrdy set his heart on someone else and why didn't he feel nervous around or why didn't he feel nervous around an adorable women even though he knows her pretty well and there's also the time where he question himself why didn't he feel sad or heart-broken when someone he's friend with dies. This manga is just exciting and stuff idk. Well anyway that's all i gotta say is that this manga is worth reading. Jaane!

Chainsaw Man is THE best and most unique Shonen Jump manga that I have ever held in my hands and read. Not to mention all the shocking twists and turns. It is about a homeless boy who does major and risky ass stuff to just get money and make a living off his depressing life, like selling his nuts or his eye all with the help of his friend Pochita, a chainsaw dog. One day when he is under a mission, he gets killed and then Pochita takes over his body making him a hybrid. It is then when he becomes Chainsaw Man. Despite the fact that because of its plot, this story is very unique, it can also make you think of other popular manga when reading. For example, it could remind you of Jujutsu Kaisen or Demon Slayer since in all of these series, there is a group or organization of monster killers going around slaying monsters. But what also sets this unique story apart from other manga, is its art style and sense of humor. It is very unique and I have never seen art like that. The sense of humor that occurs all the way throughout the story makes up for its gory atmosphere. Above all, the main character Denji is a complete reckless dumb ass, but is also a very likable character. He can be related to so much at many times throughout the whole story. For instance, his pervy characteristics can be related to so much by young teenagers as what some of his goals are. Overall, I enjoyed this story very, very, very, very, very much because of its over the top unique art style and plot and humor. I give it a perfect 10/10 and would truly call it a masterpiece. If you haven't read it before, go and do that right now because you have absolutely no idea what the hell you're missing out on.

If I had to describe Chainsaw Man with a single word it would be: fun. It's a very fast paced battle shounen which is fun but is ultimately also its downfall. Everything is over too quickly to really get attached to anything or anyone. Want to know more about why Denji is so important? Well here is a single page going over it. Want to feel symphathy for [insert name] their death? Well too bad you don't really get the chance to as we're already onto the next death/big battle/just random SoL moment.

I feel like if this manga didn't look the way it does no one would even bat an eye towards it as that's it's most redeeming factor. The artwork and the characters look really good.

Despite my general negativity in my review, I'll repeat what I said. This manga is fun. And I am actually very interested in how part 2 is gonna unfold.
