Ibitsu review
Do you like horror? Well, if you're searching for a horror manga, this could be a great choice. Japanese horror movies are known in the West for being pretty scary and spooky, so, with that reputation, you are probably waiting for something that it'll make you scream until your lungs can't held more air, and shiver until your neighboors thought it was an earthquacke.
Okay, Ibitsu tell a story that could be perfectly an urban legend in contemporary Japan. Urban legends has that strange appeal. You know they are fake, but then you can help think: what if this happen to me? The mangaka play with this. the urban legend about a gothic lolita who asks the people she meets if thy ned a little sister. There's not an answer to escape, once you have talked with her, you're doomed. You can't escape.
The feeling that you're trapped is really well done in this manga, and when you think there's a light to the end of the tunnel, you're wrong. The plot twists are the other story's strong points, and build a climax of revelations that left the reader completely breathless.

This story was greaking insane and TERRIFYING!!!! If you're a chocking do NOT read this book at twelve a clock in your bed like I did. But if you want to not sleep and would want to start sleeping with a night light again, go ahead! If that's the case, this manga is perfect for you!
Moral of the story: don't talk to strangers and if there is a little girl in your garbage in a dress, run like hell and don't look back.

I Have found this manga while looking through the horror genre , it was about a Lolita girl and that wasn't really my thing so i was kind of reluctant to read it but i must say i was the least bit disappointed .
Story : it is about this strange girl who encounter's a boy and asks him a simple question ( Do you need a little sister ? ) and it all depends on what the boy answers , the story reveals it self from there , The story is all horror , it one of those good creepy plots that give you goosebumps but you still continue to read it . The plot contains blood and gore , and some really graphic bloody scenes so if you are easily influenced or don''t like that sort of thing this isn't your manga .
The plot deals with a more psychological aspect too , especially near the end , it's a really good , well written plot .
Art : the art fits the plot perfectly , it's good and appealing to the eye and yet still has that creepy element .
Characters : the characters are great i'd give them an 8 , it's amazing to see what one might do when their life is on the line .
overall this is one of the best manga's i have read , it seriously messed me up and got me thinking , i had to actually look away at times because the emotional impact on me was just too much .

Two words: Holy. S***.
Despite being easily scared, I love the horror genre and have read and watched a fair amount of it.
Considering my love of the Meakashi-hen in Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, I figured a manga couldn't be much bloodier. Boy was I wrong,
Story: 9/10
The story is very good, keeping the reader on the edge of their seat with fast paced, unpredictable horror. Unfortunately, there were a couple parts that I found somewhat boring and, being somewhat squeamish, some of the horror scenes freaked me out a bit more than I would've liked. Overall, it is very good though.
Art: 10/10
Creepy, memorable and consistent. The horror scenes are wonderfully fluid with lovely backgrounds and a very nice design given to the Lolita girl that makes her stand out and seem all the more creepy and insane, with hollow eyes and a filthy attire.
Character: 10/10
All the characters seemed to stay in character most if not all the time. The Lolita girl is scary as hell and the other characters are all relatively realistic, though a bit stereotypical at times.
Enjoyment: 9/10
Although this kept me enthralled an creeped out all the way through, I do have to chop marks off due to the somewhat abrupt ending as well as there being a couple instances fairly forced of female upper nudity with no real purpose other than fanservice. It's not something I'll probably read again, but I'm glad I read it.
Overall I give this creepy goodness a 9 out of ten.

Overall it was a pretty enjoyable read, I found myself sucked right in from the very start. I've always loved horror mangas and if you are like me then this is a great manga to read. Lots of twists and mysteries, as well as a lot of unanswered questions. Though I did find this to be very predictable in parts but then the author did manage to recaptured my interest in the end with the unexpected twist. I suggest reading this at night while your sister is dressed in goth clothing ;)

Oh My Gosh!!! Talk abut an amazing story and getting me scared out of my pants. This book definitely did that. I couldn't wait to read the next chapter and the next just to see what would happen to our main character. Would the lady take his sister? Would he escape from the woman? I had to know what would happen and the ending was awesome!!!!

When I started reading Ibitsu I wasn't excited about it..I was thinking it was just another cliche and predictable horror story about a girl that became psychotic as a result of a tough life...I even considered dropping it after reading about 5 chapters but I didn't and I never regretted that. After finishing I can say that it is definitely worth reading
Story : 8
The story might seem predictable at first but I can guarantee you that there are some really unexpected twists in the final chapters..Overall it was interesting and with a lot of disturbing and gory scenes..There is also a couple of side stories ,one in chapter 6 and one in chapter 14 which, although being fillers ,I found pretty interesting
Art:8
The art is nothing spectacular or original but I found it pretty decent
Characters:6
The only interesting character is probably the lolita ,the others are bland and uninteresting but this is not surprising for a horror manga with such a small amount of chapters..The story wasn't supposed to focus on the characters (except the lolita) but on the events and the horror
Enjoyment:9
If you are a fan of horror manga then you'll probably enjoy it..I definitely did

A fun read at midnight and your parents are asleep and then they hear you scream "Holy shit bitch gonna get killed!!!!"
The story was awesome. The turn of events were expected but the mangaka depicted it in a more horrific way than you could imagine. I got scared enough to make me have nightmares about it. The gore, the everyday lifestyle of the characters, the twistedness and the cliff hanger ending. All of them put in order made one outstanding and freaky read.
Betcha most of the thoughts running through you head while you read this are:
"run bitch runnn!!"
"freakshow gonna get you!!"
"bitch slap that mother fucker!"
and
"bitch gonna get killed!!"
All in all if i were in that situation i would've just listened but noooo, it had to have more UMF. And so it did.
and yes im very sorry for my crude language. but that was the best i could do since this manga is pretty horrifying.

Being a huge fan of horror manga this one had me hooked from the first chapter. The story starts out the main lead, Kazuki taking out his trash when he spots a woman in a lolita getup sitting in the garbage. She asks "Do you have a sister" to which he responds. Bad mistake. He realizes that his answer may have just cost him his life.
Story: The story is a roller coaster from the first chapter, consisting of unpredictable situations and gripping events from chapter to chapter.
Art: Definitely a superb highlight of the manga. Every character and gore scenes were detailed perfectly, capturing the moments as they happen.
Characters: They are changed dramatically once they realize their previous peaceful lives are slowly dragged to hell. Don't get attached to them, as they may wind up dead in the most cringe worthy deaths possible.
Overall: I was blown back in just fourteen chapters the story turns from "Hey this isnt pretty bad" to "Oh, they are screwed now" with the most WTF endings, I don't even Higurashi could top that. The most enjoyed horror manga to date.

Ibitsu is a pretty solid horror manga with a premise that borders on cheesy but knows where the line is and doesn't dare cross it. This was my biggest concern going into this, and I was satisfied with the result. I wouldn't call this an amazing manga, but it doesn't have any critical flaws that make it annoying or boring.
Pros:
-it's got some good slasher moments, it you're into that sort of thing
-the character design of the loli in question is good
-it isn't too long, 15 chapters is a good amount for this manga. Not long enough to be drawn out, not short enough to be too condensed.
Cons:
-sometimes the characters do dumb things
-some of the side characters checked out of the manga in a way that i wasn't satisfied with
-generic horror tropes are present but honestly this didn't bother me too much
Overall it's a good manga and if you like horror stuff you will like this. It's worth a read. 7/10

Ibitsu review
"Ibitsu" is fairly popular, and worth checking out for scares-starved horror fans, but I'm not really much of a fan. After blowing through a lot of (so-called) "horror" series that aren't focused on actually being scary it was nice to read something that is actually trying to generate a fearful response. However I found that it gets undermined by the fact that the plot is fairly predictable. As it's a very short manga (as it would have to be) it doesn't really leave a whole lot of options for narrative outcomes. As such, I knew where everything was going more or less from the outset.
There's also a push away from realism, but without either supernatural elements or a strong thematic statement like those found in "6000" and "Dragon Head" "Ibitsu" feels very flat and one-dimensional. I read the entire thing in a single sitting because I had nothing better to do. I didn't drop it only because it was so short, but getting through the second volume was a chore.
Also: sometimes what isn't shown is scarier than what is. That's not the case here; my imagination did not run wild: it failed to run at all.

I don't know why this manga is not so popular. I mean, none of my friends knew it. It has a very nice story that made me feel kind of weird. I never thought that I'd have so much enjoyment.
The art is not the best ever, but makes you very nervous and curious.
I like the fact that the character is the way he is 'cause you feel more connected with the story.
I totally recommend Ibitsu for those people who like strong and horror scenes.
Don't forget to turn off your lights and close the doors!

It amused me to see that the tags for this manga are "horror, run bitch runnnnnnn!, holy shit, seinen, horror, ryou haruka, and like really. :o"
That being out of my system, lets get to business! (I'll try to make a short one this time :p)
Overall (9/10)
The story is good. The art suits the story. The character STAYS in character (especially the creepy lolita girl). The enjoyment? If you mean did it scare the crap outta me? Then yes, yes, it did.
Story (10/10)
It's unpredictable, which is a good thing in this kind of story. You expect that this thing will happen as a result of this action, but heck, noooo, it didn't. Pity I can't say much since it will spoil the story.
Art (9/10)
The creepy lolita girl could be creepier. ...What? Hey, this is HORROR manga we're talking about.
Character (9/10)
Like I mentioned earlier, the character stays in character. The lolita girl didn't up and turned cute and all after 'her wishes came true'. Freaky, freaky girl...
Enjoyment (10/10)
It's a horror story that creeped me out, and it wouldn't keep to my expectations (in a good way). The pace kept me hooked, no slowing down at all.

First Impressions: The series had great pacing at the beginning, first chapter was brilliantly portrayed and easily kept me interested. Not too many characters, which made things simple and easy to keep track of. The urban legend that is the main premise of the story was explained very early on, which made things easier. Overall, the first few chapters do a fantastic job of drawing readers in.
Things I liked: The way the story started, it jumped right in, Good suspense, The origin/backstory of the Lolita ,Pacing, THE PLOT TWIST
Things I didn't like: tory needed more empathies on the relationship between the protagonist the other characters, (such as the younger sister, friends, family) because when these characters are killed off, its hard for the reader to empathize for the protagonist if the said characters didn’t seem to close to him originally. A little generic, with the way the suspense sequences were carried out especially.
Final Thoughts: A bit generic for the genre, the deaths of characters were predictable (not the way they died, but if they died or not) I did like what they did with the plot twist and the backstory/explanation of the Lolita or the urban legend

Ibitsu review
This manga reads like a horror B-movie. If that sounds fun to you, pick this up. As a whole, I'd say the quality is lacking, in both story and art. There were some instances of good horror pacing and paneling, but as a whole the suspense felt lacking. The art is as basic as it gets for a good 75% of the manga, but sometimes it improves dramatically for some of the more gory or stylized scenes. These can look shockingly good, but it's mostly because of how bland the rest of it is. Still, if you're in the mood for a quick, fun, slasher
flick in manga form, this could be worth a look. Otherwise, spend your time on better books.

This isn't an actually bad read of a horror manga. I like the fact it's different to have a creepy lolita girl who terrorises the MC to make him as her "best little sister" , when in fact she was someone else's sister who pretty much abused her. I hate the fact this horror manga is short because we don't really see a lot of information about the lolita character here. All we know is that she tricks people, especially young guys in this and she was abused by the brother. I think worth of 25 -30 chapters to expand more on this type of
character, would've made the story more interesting to follow.
It's not that scary personally but it does kinda give you a bit of a mindf*ck, although not enough to say it was overblown mindf*ck it needed to impress me if you get me lol...
Anyways if you're out of horror mangas to waste time, this is one to definitely check out!

Ibitsu review
I will file this manga under 'disturbing' category rather than horror. With the exception of a few panels, nothing truly scared me even as I read this at 1 AM.
Story
It plays into the cliched tropes of the genre: mysterious disappearing figures; empty schools; dark rooms and so on. I didn't expect it to reinvent the wheel but I hoped for something with a twist.
I am no prude, but there is also that uncomfortable combination of gore and nudity. It wasn't as exploitative as some but some female nudity were just unnecessary.
Art
Now this is where I think the manga shines. It was well-detailed which enhances the gross and cringe factor.
Character
The characters are flat and there is no development for hardly anyone. Some of them exists just to further the plot along. Then again, the manga is plot-driven so this is not surprising.
Enjoyment
This is constantly recommended under the horror genre so I was disappointed with what I thought was standard fare. It was a page-turner and interesting enough for me to keep reading until the end but I don't think it was that great.

-You want Cute? watch K-ON
-You want Ninjas? Watch Naruto
-You want a girl who stabs forks in her leg, Rips stitches out of her arms and oozes a foul substance out of her body ? Get a fucking girlfriend....
-You want a horror? Read Ibitsu.
Ibitsu is a must read for all the horror lovers out there. The whole story is sprinkled with utterly disgusting twists that will leave you lost for words. Seeing as I am in no way a horror lover, I did not appreciate the manga as much as someone who likes this genre would.
Ok, so there is this lady sitting outside your house. Hmm, hot right? NO, did I forget to mention she's littered with cuts and bruises, has fucked up eyes, looks dirtier then the garbage shes sitting on and is skinnier than a stick. Hmm still hot to you? well, she wants to be your sister and will stop at nothing to fulfill her wish, so good luck with that.
For a short manga, the characters were fairly good. I didn't really care for most of them, but the one I did like, the fucking girl from hell killed, so there goes that.
Don't be fooled by the "microsoft paint" looking picture this has, the manga looks nothing like that and is actually really good. The gory parts were drawn to perfection.
All in all, it's only an hour out of your SUPERCOOL! lives, so read it.
