HOOZUKI-SAN CHI NO ANEKI + IMOUTO

It's quite rare for me to bother to write a review, and i won't go as far as to call this a proper review, as i've not finished the manga.

See it as a bit more than a warning; If you have enjoyed the prequel to this one, and wanted more of that; Well, You won't get it here.

If you search for the similar light hearted, slightly ecchii teasing of a pair of stepsiblings, with some more interesting characters on the side, and occasional serious moments... well, You won't get it here.

If instead you read the first manga and wished "Oh boy, if only they'd almost screw each other all the time", eventually even wondering if this one has been made by a entirely different person; Well, you might find enjoyment with it.

As for me? I am angry.
Not only because the first manga was so good, and i just wanted more of that, and not see these likeable characters gutted just to have them whore them out (Going from slight teasing to "Hey, let me jerk you off 20 times a night!"... no, i am not kidding)

But also because i won't be able to ask the author "Why did you change it so much from the first one?"

What else is there for a review checklist?
Ah right, the Artstyle was changed, and gets significantly worse. (I checked the last few chapters to see if something changed, but nah, they just dropped all plot entirely)
Characters have had total makeovers, and are barely recognizable (even more so because of the new artstyle)
The story development just stops along the road.

Well, that's all i have to say at this point. Now excuse me, while i try to shake of this dissapointment.

Did i forget anything? I don't think so.

I liked the first series Hoozuki-san Chi no Aneki it had a weird premise but great characters and the constant teasing of Gorou by Haru was funny but sweet.

This series is a sequel to that and my god what the hell happened? Seriously?

Story: 2/10
There is an imouto now. That is mostly it...
The author does try to put more depth into the story later on but his god damn fetish just keeps getting in the way of actual plot. It is kinda like she wanted to make a hentai but couldn't.
Once Volume 5 begins the author starts to completely ditch a story and it just becomes a day to day story. The author seems to forget the plot thread she left and just doesn't care anymore

Art: 6/10
To be fair the art is really good and is most definitely improved from the first series. I do find it difficult to differentiate between the sister and Mizuno at certain panels though.
However, once volume 5 begins the art style changes dramatically probably and it honestly it is very jarring.

Character: 2/10
If you loved the characters in the first series then you honestly might just hate them now.
Gorou has become much more of a pervert now to the point where you don't root for him anymore...
Haru has become so drastically different from the first series that I honestly thought it was another character. Her tease in the first series was weird but funny but in this series she is suddenly much more slutty now...
Aoi is the new character and the imouto and she is competing with Haru on how much they can jack of their brother Gorou...
Any other returning characters are just their personality from the first series dialled to 11 or turn up to 500%. Except Mizuno who is probably the character from the first series who is still as good as you remember her from the first.

Enjoyment: 4/10
There is some fun in the series but it is on the border of just being an hentai so don't read this series in a room with others...

If you read the first series Hoozuki-san Chi no Aneki then don't waste your time reading this series cause it is no where near as good as the first one. The author doesn't care anymore so you shouldn't either

If you are planning to start reading this manga after finishing the prequel then please don't.

One of the things that makes a certain manga stand out more than others is how good the characters are, with this manga, this is probably the worst character change i have seen in a manga.

Now the biggest disappointment was the female MC, she turned from a kinda annoying yet caring girl to a full on lesbian slut, she had lots of annoying moments in the main series but she was still tolerable but that change made her turn into a completely different character.

To be fair most females in this manga are made out to be sluttish in this manga. I think mizuno was the only one who still had her original traits.

The male MC is now a molesting piece of shit.

The yandere is a full on slut that turned from "we will be together forever" into "I fuck these men to get practise to be good for you"

The tomboy girl is still as is i guess.

The comedy is horrible, it's now one of 3 things: the first is what is going to be put in the Male MC's ass, the 2nd is a slutty joke and the third is the random XD kisses between the 3 MCs.

I think I read the mangaka thanking everyone that read his work and saying it was great and that that was what he wanted to see his manga flourish into and I was extremly disappointed, he turned some OK and good characters into utter shit and that was his goal?! I guess i know which mangaka I will be avoiding next.

Last Annoying thing is that the 5% or so plot in the main manga is 0% in this one, this was truly a waste of time.

Overall 2/10 just cause the art was half decent and mizuno was still a decent human being in the manga, that was truly disappointing.
