JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken Part 6: Stone Ocean review
Arguably the most controversial part in all of JoJo, JoJo's sixth instalment of the now iconic franchise is one of the most split parts of JoJo, many loving and hating it at the same time, with all the negatives do I still think this is a good read? if your looking for my answer then it is yes.

Q: Should I read JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken Part 6: Stone Ocean?

A: Part 6 is probably the one part of JoJo I would not recommend to new comers of the series, part 6 is heavily referential to the other parts and is not good for new comers of the series, the parts that should be read by new comers are, Part 5, Part 7 and Part 1. As for fans who have seen all prior parts this is an essential viewing, it's what can be considered the grand finale of the JoJo franchise. One thing a lot of people seem to do is they fast forward this part or completely skip it just to get to the Magnum Opus of the JoJo franchise Steel Ball run, but trust me when I say part 6 is good and there is no need to rush through it, I know the whole idea of steel ball run being one part away is tempting but there is no need to skim through part 6, its a good worthwhile read.

~Review Portion~

[story-6/10]

In the year 2011 the daughter of part 3's protagonist Jotaro Kujo sits in a prison cell for a crime she did not commit, she was convicted of a DUI after a freak accident with her boyfriend after he hit someone fatally, they tried to cover up the incident and Jolyne's boyfriend Romeo blamed the fatal incident onto Jolyne, and then Jolyne Cujoh was sent to Green Dolphin Street Prison

JoJo part 6 has a very meh story, it's well paced and has good action scenes and some interesting ideas, themes from prior parts are re-integrated into part 6 very well, such as Fate. The story of Jolyne trying to regain her fathers memories is ok, it's this parts way of making disposable villains for the Stone ocean gang to defeat, the fights are very fun and enjoyable, the story surrounding Pucci and Dio to me is the most interesting part of the part 6 story, seeing this whole new side to dio , much more elegant and graceful then the one that appears in part's 1 and 3, this also adds more to dio and it unlocks this sense that Dio has an impact no matter where we go. Part 6's story overall is fine and isn't the main focus of the part.

[Art-10/10]
Araki once again shows us how excellent of a draftsmen he is, the art is phenomenal it's again fantastic, the character designs and if there's one thing I want to mention about the art in part 6 is that it has probably the best volume cover art and chapter art in the series, the poses and the art itself is amazing and in colour even more so.

[Character-9/10]
There characters are awesome, Jolyne is badass and fun, she's much more likeable than Jotaro and has a lot more charisma, she's got a mix of Jotaro and Jospeh and It works wonderfully! Weather report is one of the best characters of all time his duality with Pucci is not only interesting but thought provoking and novel, Foo fighters is not only adorable but complex and relatable, Jotaro is fantastic in this part as well, we see this whole new part to him, we see how he's protective of his daughter, we see how he's matured and it's nice seeing him again.

on the other hand we have characters who I don't like that much, Herme's is a bad character, she's boring and like Kakyoin she's missing for half the part but unlike Kakyoin who missed significantly less time then Hermes, Herme's isn't even re introduced until Jolyne escapes from prison and misses a lot of the story, Anasui is just there to be the love interest, and sure he can be funny and he works well with weather report but by himself Anasui is kinda lame, Emporio is a meh character, he's good sometimes and terrible others, He reminds me of Hayato from part 4 but much much better.

[Enjoyment-10/10]
as much criticisms for part 6 as I have I loved reading this from start to finish, reading through this magnificent journey put a little tear to my eye. JoJo part 6 while not flawless is a satisfying climax to the former JoJo universe and is one hell of a ride from start to finish.

[overall-9/10]
While it had it's flaws, JoJo part 6 is still one of the greatest manga ever written and Is not only a satisfying conclusion but a perfect Ending.

JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken Part 6: Stone Ocean review
Story: I really liked the story of the manga and its plot, but it was like the much of the same so it took me quite some time to finish it, but the beggining of the story was really good and its ending also left me with a mix of feelings in my heart, it was epic, cool and sad all at once

Art: As usual Araki always does a great job on his art and he keeps developing his art style throught the parts of JoJo, so it was really beautiful to read and aprecciate it.

Charactes: As always the best part in JoJo are the characters, and these characters are awesome. Jolyne is now one of my favorite characters of the series, as well as her stand, which has a nice new idea behind it, as well as the way she uses it and its design. Jotaro as always keeps being a great character and really important to the development of the story. Hermés is a great jobro and her stand is very interesting, F.F. is one of the best characters in this part, copnsidering her development and personality. Weather Report has one of the best stands I have ever seen, super creative and really cool design, and his background is really interesting. Anasui is a cool character with a cool stand and a cool interaction with Jolyne. Emporio is really cool as well, with an interesting stand idea and a great participation on the manga. About the main villain, Pucci has a really good design, background and stand abilities, so he is a great villain.

Enjoyment: I really liked the dynamic between the characters and the fights were really creative and the enemies had really good and innovative stands. I also appreciated the musical references made in this part, as it has some of my favorite bands. as i said the only downside for me is that the story really was much of the same.
