Spy x Family review
This was a manga that had intrigued me from the beginning, it had everything that would interest me and it entertained so completely that the first few chapters had me laughing out loud. It takes a family and turns it right on its head, introducing unique situations for each of the characters and makan it hilarious.
Even as it grows, it still continues to work under the theme of family and bringing new members in that completely throws people off and changes the dynamic, which is precisely how families are and developing the spy storyline. Again, just brilliant and hilarious, with a strong setting with the flavour of the Cold War and a family comedy.
It proves just why it is one of Jump's heavy hitters right now.

Spy x Family review
This manga is wonderful. At first, when reading it, I thought it was simply going to be a cliche spy story. BUT NOPE! Everything is put together perfectly and I love the comedy and characters! The daughter especially makes the manga pop out. The art is wonderful, the plot, and just the entire manga itself.
If you're into manga that can make you laugh, smile, and feel completed in life, then this is the manga for you!
At first, the manga seems to be about a guy who just wants a family for a mission of his. So he ends up adopting a child, (spoiler alert: she's cute, funny, and can read minds) then decides it's not enough. So he then hires a wife (spoiler alert: she's an assassin but she's adorable and a klutz) and then they get a dog. It's adoring to see how the main lead starts to enjoy the mini family of his!

Spy x Family review
First time giving a review so I hope that says something about how much I like it,
This is only at 10 chapters when I'm posting it but so far it's been much more than I expected, a friend told me about it and I was like sure, and threw it on my ever expanding list of things to read/watch. One day I found myself sorting through my list and saw it again and said "hey why not"
No regrets.
The characters are all so wholesome, Lloyd himself is something I've never really seen before in anime or manga, a male tsundere, and I ask you my friend, when are tsundere's bad? The answer is never.

Spy x Family review
This is my first review, so I hope that it makes sense since English is not my native tongue and I’ll try my best to write more in the future. So let us start with the review now.
Story - 9/10
I remember reading this when it first came out, and it was one of the first spy manga I had ever read, and I'm happy that it was. As the story is enjoyable and funny, because you as the reader know their secrets, what they think, and you're always watching the tension as you're never sure if they're going to get exposed. The story is something creative that I’ve personally never seen before and the combination of a spy, hitman, and esper makes it even more interesting. The character’s personal stories are well-written and you’ll always be wondering what is going to happen next.
But since the manga has not been completed and therefore I can't make a whole judgment on the story, I will be giving the story a 9, but I'm sure it will end up as a 10.
Characters - 10/10
This part will heavily focus on the main characters.
Loid Folger or Twilight is an incredibly skilled spy that is skilled in every aspect of his job, and we see this various times. But personality-wise, he starts as a stern and cold character, wanting to do everything on his own and not bothering to have proper interactions with his family as he in his mind knows that he'll be leaving them when the mission is finished. But we see his personality change slowly as he realizes somethings about himself and others.
Yor Briar or Thorn Princess is a hitman that is skilled at everything in her occupation. She almost has a split personality as when she is doing her job, she is badass and mean-looking. But outside her work as a hitman, she is an introvert. Yor keeps to herself and wants to experience some romance because all of her co-workers are bullying her for being 27 and never having a man.
The Esper, Anya Folger, is a child at the age of 6 that can read people's minds, and she uses this to her advantage to find out what Loid is thinking because she doesn't want to get sent away again. Her personality is quite like a real child, questioning everything and wanting to discover new things to play with, but this can occasionally lead to some trouble.
We watch them develop emotionally and mentally as all of them had something missing in their life e.g. Loid's lack of attachment to people, Yor's lack of romance in her life and people as well, and Anya's lack of connection with her parents. But they end up hiding each other's weaknesses and covering them up with their strengths even though it is something brand-new to them. They start to feel like a real family even without blood relations.
Some of the side characters are fleshed out, some are not and are just there for the sake of it, but will have a purpose later on like a set-up and pay-off.
Art - 10/10
The art style is very aesthetic and clean looking. You know who everyone is since they all have distinctive features that make them who they are. Every page has something aesthetic to offer, and you're never bored when analyzing a frame or just going through them quickly.
Enjoyment - 10/10
I love this manga, and I'll be rereading it every chance that I get before it gets updated, as all the adorable are natural without something suddenly changing inside them without reason, but with something that makes sense. All the action-packed moments make it worth my time and they're drawn incredibly well. It is easily one of my favorite manga ever.
Overall - 9.75/10
Without a single doubt inside my mind, I recommend this heavily to anyone that likes to read manga since this is a perfect mix of wholesomeness and action. I will be rounding it up to a 10 out of 10 since mal doesn’t allow decimals. I’m also sure quite sure that an anime adaptation is most definitely going to happen sometime in the future and I hope that the anime adaption will be just as good as its source material.

Spy x Family review
Spy x Family is a newer manga in Shounen Jump+. There's only 22 chapters currently available, so this is more of a first impressions than a review. When I was first checking it out, I thought it was going to be more of an action series with a dash of drama and humor about a family of spies. It turns out, you don't really read this one for the story. The action is there and it's fun and the story is a bit of an after thought. It's about a spy who has to have a family and only has a few days to do
it. So he somehow manages to get a wife and adopted daughter, but they're really all faking it. There's a lot of heart and charm to these characters and you get very attached to them. I can't for the life of me pick my favorite, they're all such well defined characters with developed personalities. Even the side characters have charm and personality. Of course, the series wouldn't be as good if it wasn't funny, and luckily, it is. I read it all in two short sittings and the smile never left my face while I was reading it.

Spy x Family review
Do yourself a favour.
Drop your family, drop your job, drop whatever you're doing at this very instant, so that you can sit down and get the chance to fully consume this delectable series, something of the likes in which I haven't encountered in recent years (if ever). I almost want to selfishly keep its existence a secret but art is art, and masterpieces such as this have the right to be exposed to the widest audience.
Spy x Family follows an ordinary family comprised of a handsome spy (codename "Twilight"), his assassin wife, and an adopted daughter who can read minds. The premise is refreshingly unique as the art style is clean and precise. Although the setting pays homage to an alternative post-WW2 with authentically drawn landscapes and fashion pieces, don't be fooled into thinking this is your typical cold war story. The plot is filled to the brim with action-packed ridiculousness and heart-warming moments that will have you laughing your head off in one panel and then immediately tugging at your heartstrings in the next.
At its very core, this is a story about family and the bonds we choose rather than the ones that have been inherent at birth. I hope you'll soon become as obsessed with this series as I am, cheers.

Spy x Family review
I love Spy X Family. One of my favorite manga's right now! But I'll cut to the chase with a pro and cons. And paragraph if you rather have that (This based of the first 3 volumes, will buy volume 4 when it comes out)
Pro:
- Amazing cast of characters, each 1 of them feel really unique
- An Amazing story and concept
- The art and drawing is good (especially Anya's cute face, she competes with Kanna)
- Some well drawn fights
- Twilight's backstory basically a mystery
Cons:
- pacing can feel odd sometimes like all the sudden one panel has a huge change in setting from the previous panel
- A little too much dialouge (but that's just me)
Paragraph:
Overall this is one of the most unique shonens I've read/watched. Name other manga or anime where the story revolves around a spy forming a fake family with the cutest girl ever and a deadly but timid fake wife. The art definitely shined with Anya's wholesome face. One thing that definitely set's me from giving this manga a 9/10 is it's weird pacing. It like if the panel showed a beach and then the next panel shows a sketchy building where the story is. But other then that I am really hyped for the Anime adaptation that was announced early 2020.

Spy x Family review
NGL, this manga is cute, i like the family a lot and it's one of the manga that i might be able and read until it's ending cause it's that interesting to me. Also the art style is sick, the character design is unique and easily recognizable and also the side characters are also endearing. The author really make a set of interesting character with different personality and goals so its fun to watch them try and achieve those goals. I can't wait for more updates from the author and also more characters to be introduced in the manga. And i wonder if this will
have an anime adaptation, cause it will be better animated because of the action scene and such.

Spy x Family review
This is simply one of the best manga I have came across in a while. I don't often write reviews but the exceptional experience demands my respect. Also, this is a SPOILER FREE review.
You might think this is your typical spy comedy and you would be right. What stands out is how well the story, characters, and even the arts enhances the comical jabs that blindsides you so much.
The story is tightly packed - there's not much down time, every page pushes the story forward and the mangaka is unafraid to be creative in using the panels to sell a joke or two. If you don't take it too seriously (as you shouldn't), the story is coherent and you can pick up even some minor references from previous chapters, even if they don't serve any real purpose then trying to crack you up. Don't let the genre of comedy fool you though - there are plenty of plot and wholesomeness to go with it.
The characters are wonderful, each with their own perks and neatly realized in each chapter. The main protagonist - the spy - is somewhat of a Mary Sue in a way, but personally I think it plays well with his "top spy of the nation" shtick. The daughter - a telepath - is a riot in that every facial expression will either murder your sides, or pull your heart out and destroy it. The mother - an assassin - is a bit more of a supporting character in that she seems to exist for the sole purpose as a sidekick. Having said that, every time she does something it does really shine through.
The art, while seemingly typical at first glance, really jumps out at you when the mangaka wants to sell you a panel. The expressions are wonderfully drawn and some of the action scenes, while incomparable to masterpieces like Berserk and Vinland Saga, are way more than what you expect of a comedy manga.
Reading this manga you can tell the mangaka is really passionate about the subject and creative in telling a convincing story with a ridiculous scenario. I greatly enjoyed this manga so far, and I hope you would too.

Spy x Family review
YOU ARE MISSING OUT SO MUCH RIGHT NOW!
Spy x Family wonderfully exploits dramatic irony(when the audience knows something characters don't) to put forth a hilarious, thrilling and entertaining story. 3 Characters, a spy, a hitman, and an esper, each with their own agendas, flaws and secrets, are pushed with the common goal of needing to come together as a family. Will they ever find each other out? Will they stay together after their goals have been accomplished?
What drives this story so well, is how the characters compliment each others flaws an needs. (the scene with the lady and the purse)
-The spy is a very strict perfectionist, who is seen struggling between the choices of doing the right thing at the cost of standing out and compromising his job.
-The hitman is less rational, and more emotional, struggling with how to keep in disguise and not stand out too much.
-The esper is lacking both rationality and managing emotions, and is the symbol of what the spy and the hitman want to protect, mirroring the spys childhood and the hitmans sacrifice for family.
Combine all three and you notice that the spy lacks connection to attachment, the hitman lacks connection to romance and people, and the esper lacks connection with parents, coincidentally making them perfect for each other and I can't wait to see how they develop together.
Overall great pacing, superb art, cross cutting characters, 10/10, READ IT NOW! I used to be an atheist until I read this manga....but this series is god.

Spy x Family review
I'm going to keep this short since I'm afraid of giving out spoilers that could lessen the hype on reading it. (Plus this is the first time I'm reviewing a manga)
This is the first ever manga that I have read and immensely enjoyed and I honestly look forward to the future of this manga and where the fandom will be.
Story- 10
The story is outstanding, as it best suites my taste in entertainment. It's just a simple elegant story of a spy whose assigned to a task to save the relationship of the east and west in order to bring peace to the world, however he is required to put up a fake family to blend well with society. The story progresses better in each chapter and sometimes they leave a cliffhanger to hype you up.
Art- 10
The art was terrific, it's what drove me to try reading this manga at first. The main characters were designed elegantly to best suit the personality of the series and of course, the characters.
Character- 10
DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THIS. I loved the characters, especially Anya. Each of them have a unique personality that benefits and gives importance to the storyline. The father is a tsundere, and the mother is I guess the opposite(?, I'm quite new to the types of deres so I might not be accurate on this one), and the child is the sweet one that tries to help her father and mother in the best of her abilities.
Enjoyment- 10
Definitely a 10. It's binge-able and addicting, and I would highly recommend this for people who just started reading mangas and for people who are already into mangas. It has a great mix of action and balanced comedy. (I'm still waiting for some lloyd x yoru content).
Overall- 10
In conclusion, I would immediately say this is one of the best mangas I've ever read. It gets you hooked up easily especially those cliffhangers at every end of the chapters and dedicates some chapters for the development of each character.

Spy x Family review
Believe it or not, this is one of the highest rated, most enjoyable mangas I've ever reviewed.
Story: The story is really good, really interesting. You sort of wish they would all come clean to one another, but it makes for a fun read. I can see the child getting all of the stella stars being a majority of the manga. Not sure what would happen next, but I guess we'll have to wait and see to find out!
Art: So. Damn. Good. Like really, the author knows how to draw people, and cute kids. All of the art is clean, and well done.
Character: The best aspect of the manga. All of the characters are great, super well written and lovely. They are all good-hearted, and are a total joy to read. You really root for the family to do well.
Overall, this is a great manga. It's relatively new, and drawn well. I like it a lot. I can't wait to read more!

Spy x Family review
about a spy wanting to remain concealed, so he forms a fake family of three to make him seem like a normal father. It is a nice comedy and i have really been enjoying it. The three characters don't have a full backstory yet, but it suits the character due do their design. You only know what each of the characters know and they each hide their true identity, making it part of the fun. So the three odd balls suit each other really well.
Its mainly a comedy, so it is not meant to be taken too seriously. Even so, the story is very interesting so far and the characters do seem to change as the plot progresses, so you don't end up with static characters.

Spy x Family review
I'm glad I came across this absolute gem. Throughout the 17 chapters, it got me smiling the whole time while invested enough to see where the story goes :) So kudos to Tatsuya Endo!
Story: 10 (minor spoilers)
Basically "Mr & Mrs Smith" but with it also gives off some Harry Potter vibes for Anya's school part. I really enjoyed it and I really enjoyed the setting being heavily based on the West.
However, what really gets me would be the way how the author changes basic activities (such as going on a family trip or dining out) to be such a huge deal within the family. This is the most entertaining part of the series and I had the largest smile the entire time because it is just so precious and heartwarming to see how three 'misfits' are figuring out how to act like the others at their own pace.
I'd say the themes for this manga would be Action, Comedy, Slice of Life, Romance, Thriller (debatable, though in some instance definitely) and Shounen.
Art: 10
I really like the artstyle of this series! Can't wait for the next issue to come out :D
Character: 10
This is the main selling point of the manga. It's all about character development and each chapter progresses at a relatively reasonable pace. All three of the main characters bond over this 'fake family' for their own reasons, but they have gradually gotten more comfortable with each other. Agent Twilight started to see the world as not just completing tasks after tasks, but rather theres more enjoyment and fulfillment in life (step by step though). Then theres Yor, an assassin who 'married' Twilight initially just to make her brother more reassured and to make her line of work more easy. As time passes though, she has come to enjoy the companionship of the 'family' and starts to see the joy in life as well. And of course, the best character of the series, Anya, the esper who poses as the 'daughter'. I would even go as far as to argue that Anya is the main driving force for the development of all the main characters. With her mind reading ability, she is basically the middle man that knows the secret of both her 'parents', but because she has always wanted a family, she puts up with it (and she also thinks spies and assassins are cool. so just a normal ordinary kid?). Most of the comedy is generated by Anya's innocence after she reads someone's mind and trying her best to tell a message (in an indirect way) to those around her without exposing her powers, or sometimes just make hilarious yet adorable facial expressions.
Enjoyment: 10
I will reread this over and over. I don't care. This series is the purest thing ever.
Overall: 10
I would even go as far to argue this manga as to being a top contender for the best manga in 2019. Go read it! Trust me, you will not regret it! As of this review, there are 17 + 2 extra short chapters.
Spy x Family review
Mangaka: "You guys want a Spy story?"
Otakus: "Ughhhh, really? Bet it's going to be digustingly cliched."
Mangaka: "Well, let's reverse the personality roles."
Otakus: "Okay? Let's go home guys."
Mangaka: "You sure? I have an esper loli to spare. Oh! I also have an ultra-sexy hitman and a guy tsundere."
Otakus: "You what???"
(Weebs have entered the chat)
Weebs: "Give me that!"
(Mangaka offers this)
Otakus and Weebs: "Oh shit! You right fam!"
The manga world have been dominated by the ISEKAI genre that injects every people with the it's-so-repetitive-I-want-throw-up plot but people still eat and read the shit no matter what. Almost every update, there's nothing new to fill the table, but dark-horses really like to show up from the shadows. That dark horse may be fairly new, but the bar for the unprecedented potential is there. It may be basically a Mr. and Mrs. Smith approach, but goddamn, it's unique! Spy X Family a read entertains it's readers not just for the aesthetics, but also for the appeal and really comedic story the manga has to offer.
Spy X Family basically has two things: 1) No matter what your job is, raising a kid is still the hardest and 2) Every plan can be executed even without a plan.
Logically speaking, the manga has believable scenarios especially portraying how underground work works. Developing a nice pace and it's really enjoyable. Also having a kid is a pain in the ass, but having an esper kid? You can plead for help.
No action is wasted frame by frame and page to page. The artist is really good at giving life to the work while the readers can follow the story without getting confused. The romance scenes are on the spot with the "sparkles-sparkles" moments and it's basically eye-candy.
What else can I say? A moe kid that can do supernatural shit? That what I signed up for! If you are a fan of Saiki, Hinamatsuri, and Mob Psycho, there's no short of supply in terms of comedy in this one. The whole story gave the enjoyment I wanted since I've been reading alot of rom-coms nowadays.
Overall, this is outstandingly impressive. I RECOMMEND THIS PIECE OF ART TO EVERYONE!

Spy x Family review
Spy X Family is a delightful, light-hearted series.
Extremely easy to read, pages fly by. The series maintains a quick and enthralling rhythm, perfectly setting up increasingly rewarding punchlines. The characters are at once fresh and familiar, and the whole Mr and Mrs Smith concept is always fun.
The daughter character, who I find I usually have trouble as comedy relief, was great and adorable. In fact, the entire family functions so smoothly as a family unit. The hardships of raising a children and of being a good wife/husband could appear trite, especially in contrast to the explosive spy and hitman families they are intertwined with, but instead they are touching and relatable.
The style also oozes with charm. Characters are incredibly cute, with distinct designs and fashionable outfits.

Spy x Family review
An interesting take on Mr. & Mrs. Smith-style stories. The daughter, Anya, is the one who really drives the story. Her interactions with the cast are a delight to watch, and I always look forward to how she will nudge those around her into performing actions. She really is a child puppetmaster.
The "father" and "mother" are also superb, and make wonderful tsunderes. They are also quite competent.
I really enjoy how even mundane activities are transformed into amazing action spectacles. The authors are really good at writing and drawing action sequences.
In sum, this manga has a great mix of action, romance, comedy, and family themes. I really enjoy it, and would strongly recommend it.

Spy x Family review
This is a fairly new manga, with 19 chapters as of writing this. I usually don't write reviews for serializing manga since my opinion can quickly change, but I feel as if this story needs more attention. I'm not going to give a brief explanation about the plot of this story since you can read the synopsis yourself, I'm going to write a review, not a summary.
To be blunt, this is a really solid manga. The art is breathtaking at times for a story that updates weekly. The mangakas have a unique way of drawing horror panels which further enhances your reading experience. The clean and detailed art style is satisfying to see on each page. Add this with the eye catching character designs and you're left with eye candy. Well, that's what would happen if the story and characters weren't interesting themselves. That is not the case though, you see we are shown an interesting set of characters in a developing world which leaves us wanting for more.
Each character has a different personality which makes their interactions funny since they may clash a lot. The female characters aren't used for fan service only and I hope it stays that way, I don't want to see fictional tits on my screen even though I like girls. The women in this manga are strong, mentally and physically, paring with the male characters. We don't have a vast cast but I'm sure it'll grow alongside their world.
The setting is still off since the world building hasn't been the focal point as of now. It's too early to judge (at least in my opinion) them for that so I can brush it off now, but if it doesn't change in the future we're going to left with a huge problem.
Overall this is a nice read if you want something generic but executed well.
