One Punch-Man review
One-Punch Man is just like what the title sounds - A main character who can literally one punch kill everything. Now , what's the fun about an overpowered BALD main character who can defeat gargantuan monsters and meteorites in just a punch ? Everything. One-Punch Man is a series that deviates from the general shounen rule of : New enemy comes out and destroys the main character , leading the main character to train and power up and repeat. This makes it utterly fresh to the eyes and this is not a manga to be taken seriously because of it and the sheer idiocy of this made the enjoyment so much better than its peers.

Story : 5/10

The story is pretty linear. One-Punch Man basically revolves around a boy named Saitama who defends cities after cities from evil overbearing monsters aiming for world domination and the sorts. He literally one punches everything and everything would be solved , but this was the problem. He was too overpowered that he had already lost the motivation to fight any more because everything just ends in one punch. But that was not the case forever since the readers are shown his past where he was not yet BALD and looked like an eggplant head , showing that he was actually weak even before the series started and had trained for years just to achieve his power today.

But even so , after defending so many cities , he remained unknown as a hero and a fellow hero , upon seeing his retarded power begged to be his disciple and both of them took on the tests to become official heroes. The storyline is basically like that , sweet and simple with Saitama trying to achieve his well-deserved S-ranked Hero class. There are hardly any plot twists or any sub plots other than this simple storyline which made the storyline suffer just a little bit.

Art : 7/10

One glance at Saitama and you would be wondering , ' What the hell am I watching ? '. It's simply because Saitama is a character that looked as though an elementary school kid could draw easily because of his simple design that could even put One Piece's characters to shame. However, the author had shown that he had purposefully did that to Saitama's character design and it's evident that he could draw masterful pieces of art if you'd compare the other characters , especially the bosses of each arc. The amount of details spent on each bosses are exceptional as they looked as though they were ripped out from Gantz , which is renowned for its high quality drawings that looked realistic compared to its peers.

Character : 4/10

Each character are given a set of personalities but this is really where the series is lacking. Although there are several characters introduced throughout the series , one could not help but think that these characters were merely introduced just so that they can hype up the arc's boss - in other words , flaunting of it's power before Saitama one punches it like usual. So far of most characters that had been introduced , most of them fall under this category sadly to say and Saitama's disciple , Genos , which is arguably the series' second main character is not spared from this.

However with that said, not all characters are just fodder-type material as although Genos fall under the category as stated above , he was given ample character development and serve well as the secondary character because Saitama is usually absent until he decides to show up just to deliver the final blow and the humour of Genos taking the credit because of the civilians watching their fight is overused , yet it's still funny to see Saitama being irked and pissed about it.

Enjoyment : 9/10

This is where the series truly shines because it's original and gives the readers a break from the usual shounen power ups as stated in the introductory paragraph. The story is predictable and yes , Saitama would just one hit everything but it's extremely enjoyable to see him being distressed about his own power. And the back story given of why Saitama lost all of his hair and became a bald eggplant was hilarious and his superbly simple design would probably paint a smile on one's face. The series is clichéd beyond hope but for some reason , the readers are able to enjoy it and it's something that cannot be described through words but rather only could be explained by reading it.

Overall : 7/10

I originally wanted to give this series a 6 out of 10 but I simply had to add one point because of the sheer enjoyment I had through reading it. I would definitely recommend this series to people who are tired of seeing convenient power ups from other popular shounen series because the concept of an overpowered main protagonist that is distressed because of his own power is fresh.

Beck review
Beck by Harold Sakuishi is a really surprising manga. It is about a band with a rags-to-riches story, a comedic theme and a splash of love. The band's name is Beck, derived from their guitarist's Frankenstein-ly dog's name. Later on, they also got known as Mongolian Chop Squad.

The first thing I noticed about this manga is the art. It is actually not very good. The gag faces are fine, but there are times when the mangaka fits a character's full body in a small panel, resulting in bad body proportions. Well at least the character designs are realistic, the eyes are not very big and their poverty was shown perfectly :)

Next is the plot. I SO LOVE IT. It's very real and full of unexpected happenings. Unlike the usual stories where in the series of darkness comes in light in every conflict, here in Beck, the flow of unfortunate events is very long and the people barely get lucky, which adds to the comedy. There are even times when I predict that their luckiness would come in at the last minute and then I end up being wrong. There was even a scene when Ryuusuke is missing and the band needs to perform, and there was a fan looking forward to seeing Ryuusuke because people says he is handsome (and she is the first person to send a letter to the band too). At the last minute before the performance, a man from the guitar shop where Koyuki buys volunteered to be Ryuusuke's substitute. He is VERY ugly, so the fan ended up being disappointed.

Anyways, for the plot, the only problem I saw is Sakuishi-sensei didn't illustrated the story's progress finely sometimes.

This series is not popular yet unexpectedly magnificent. I recommend this one especially to the people who are tired of the mainstream manga and want something different. Yes it is about music and being no expert in that field may make this manga corny, but then, I really like it and it's cool the way it is. Yes it is about music and that may make you say "It is better in anime" since manga is only drawing and text, but then, the mangaka successfully illustrates the feeling he wants the readers to feel while the characters perform. This is an awesome manga and I rate it 4 out of 5 so you guys - BETTER ADD THIS TO YOUR MUST-READ MANGA LIST. No, BETTER READ THIS NOW.

Credits: mangatraders.com, stoptazmo.com, mangareader.net and my classmate codenamed JF for recommending this to me.

NOTE: If you are planning in watching the anime instead of reading the manga, BETTER dispose of that plan. The anime can be boring for first-timers of the series. It is better to read the manga first and then watch the anime second. Well, that's just my opinion. Go on and watch the anime if that's what you really want. And there's also a live action movie of the series, though the plot was really messed up there.

SCHOOL DAYS review
*Pre-Note: Any Ano Hana hurt fanboys are probably not too happy to see this review. It's alright. Rate it down even before reading this if it satisfies your anger. I personally feel a bit sorry for the cute and awesome characters from School Days since they'd suffer for a completely unrelated review, but other than that, I couldn't care less if you did.
To the people who were actually looking for the review, I apologize for this.

School Days, within the recent years, has become a symbol series for the sheer pleasure and entertainment of watching/reading violent love, described by a divine term called "YANDERE". To people unfamiliar with this term, Yanderes are people, usually girls, that become so psychotically in love with another person to the point where they'd become violent and kill others for that person to be in their arms (sometimes dead in their arms lol). I personally have a great love for Yanderes because I respect their devotion to the person they love, so for people who aren't too fond of violent love, you may want to stop reading here. For those who continue to bear through, you can expect yourself in for a ride, starting with shoujo romance for most chapters and ending with a twisted, creepy and yet, compelling ending.

Story (10/10)
Seeing as this is the review for the School Days manga, content may differ from the actual anime. This is the story of Mikoto Itou and his school days (pun intended) with his childhood friend Sekai and his girlfriend Kotonoha. Sekai initially introduces and aids Mikoto to get close to and eventually date Kotonoha. However, she soon realizes that she's doing the things exactly contrary to her true feelings. As Sekai finally begins to act, the atmosphere compresses with suspense. Above all, this was a shoujo manga and thus the plot was mainly purposed with conveying the feelings and tensions of this love triangle. By that regard, I believe that this manga achieved astronomical success within only twelve chapters of print. Contrary to most slice-of-life and shoujo mangas, things DO happen in School Days, and they happen rather fast. Perhaps the tipping point for this perfect score on story is how School Days actually conveys the drama and anxiety to the reader. I absolutely despise cheesy mushycrap character conversations, and School Days avoided that. I carefully read every single word and truly felt like I was there in the manga. To send such a powerful conveyance of image, with absolutely no cheesy-dialogue or irritating facepalmable moments, and focused solely on that purpose is truly an astonishing feat.

Art (9/10)
Nothing I really can say about the art except it was decent and didn't hinder the value of the manga by any means. I really liked Kotonoha's design and one particularly awesome image involving her (perhaps some of you who read this will see it later in the chapters). In certain parts, the art really accentuated the mood of the characters, which had a tremendous impact in the overall essence of the story. Nevertheless, the style was nothing to floorchin drool for. Also, I happened to get Sekai mixed up with another female character a lot because their hair designs were really similar. That sucks since I always think Sekai is bi-polar (biwinning).

Character (10/10)
First of all before I go on any further about characters, I would like to say that Mikoto wasn't a great guy. He was an ambivalent wuss, and he caused a great tragedy because of it. However, since the entire series depended on his personality being indecisive, it would be wrong to judge him based simply on that. Fortunately, his other aspects are pretty amiable and he didn't seem to draw too many noticeably setbacks from his ambivalence. Other than his somewhat timid personality (still much better than 90% of the guys in modern day anime/manga), Mikoto was quite likable. He didn't exhibit the annoying nature of some guys, but simply confused and passionate feelings-- something that almost all guys torn between childhood friend and girlfriend would show. Hence, it was very believable and contributed greatly to the realism in this manga (if only we actually DID live in that world...*sigh *crosses fingers and hopes*.) Sometimes, although still rather rarely, I even sympathized with him and his current situation. Some of you readers might even find yourself doing that more than periodically.
Mikoto, his childhood friend, is a typical happy and cheerful girl. She is nice and helpful, contrasting with the mean and arrogant females in most anime/mangas. Her pure, amicable personality is what made her tolerable and what, ultimately, gives her transformation such an extreme epicness to it. Kotonoha, the girlfriend, is simply too cute. Her moeness really hit me hard and I felt myself secretly rooting for her the entire time. Kotonoha would be what you call a "Deredere". Derederes are really devoted and awesome people who are simply too cute and pure, filled with passionate feelings of love, and usually devoid of the irritating mushycrap talk (*hint: doesn't deredere end similar to another word previously mentioned? *wink). Although neither of the three characters are at the top of the list for unique school life characters in manga, they all had their own purpose to it. These three characters, working together, made School Days the legend it is today.

Enjoyment (10/10)
School Days was seriously fulfilling for a Yandere fan like me. After searching for hours for other Yandere masterpieces, I still haven't found anything that rivaled School Days. I'll concede that I liked this anime probably more than the average person did simply because of my love for Yanderes and select Moe DereDeres, but above all that, School Days still did have some aesthetic value. It got me thinking and dreaming about those events, and to challenge myself to imagine beyond the boundaries of the world. I believe that this is exactly what a good manga should do.

Overall (9/10)
As uniquely the best (yandere) "shoujo" manga I have ever read, School Days really had a deep impact on me despite being rather short. My only disappointment with the actual manga is the fact that it should have been longer and maybe include more details. Above all, I felt like putting the little amount of time into reading this had brought me a plethora of enjoyment and experience. So, for bored, perhaps curious of Yanderes, people who aren't willing to spend countless hours boggled down in the pages of some hundred chapter manga, School Days is an excellent "bang per buck" manga to pick up. For others that truly despises violence or romance, avoid School Days at all costs.

P.S. I didn't think I have to write this, but I’ll say it in case for future references: A review is an opinion. It's ok to disagree with my opinion as long as you're not being an arrogant, illogical ass about it. What's NOT ok is denying people their inherent right to voice that opinion or telling someone their opinion is wrong. Opinions are opinions. There is no right and wrong.

Jaryuu Tensei review
Sorry. Had to write this review because it annoyed me how good this story could be if not for chapters after 15 or 16. Have tried to keep spoilers to a minimum, but there could be some. Sorry.

The art is clean, easy to read and enjoyable. Which is nice when we get to bloodsplattering later. Nicely detailed.

Main charater is an "evil" dragon (if you read the story until 25 you'll understand) who in the beginning have dragon form. In early story he becomes human, and never shows his true form again except his arms. Not you typical mister nice guy, ISN'T CHASTE, but has borrows some traits from other nice isekai mains. Never had anything against chaste mains, but other people dislike it apparently. My problem with him is that he isn't consistent about who of Irenu's abusers he kills. He also lets her go alone after someone who sold Irenu into slavery.

That said Irenu is this series respite from the rest of the story. She's loyal a bit too fast, but this didn't annoy me while reading.

My main gripe is the story post 15/16. When I was finished with chapter 25 my first thought was NOPE. This is not an easygoing cute isekai although it borrows some elements of it. Could be a nice story with action and emotional scenes but is not. Also uses atleast 3 instances of kids to evoke emotion, but I got numb at number 3 and that was the right call by far.

Sorry this is a relativly badly written review, but it is my first time writing one and it has good points, but also flaws and bad elements where the latter is the one's I remember more.

BEACH VOLLEYBALL/ GIRLS ONLY / BIKINIS

I am a simple man... I see bikini pictures, I click to read... Beach vollyball... ok, for sure... because it means more bikini moment. This manga is so well drawn; however, the setup and the plot for the story is questionable and generic.

Some minor spoiler*

Story: 5
Pro:
1. Educational towards some volleyball or beach volleyball concept
2. Girls + Bikini (from a male perspective)
3. matches are realistic and short (each match will take only a chapter so far)
Con:
1. No male in the story... literally, with this kind of manga, we need some males to spice things up. I guess male doesn't exist (for this story) ;(
2. The background and the start is too "all-of-the sudden". Like in the first chapter, the mangaka wants to throw in arrival, main character introduction, sport all in 34 pages.

Art: 10
Literally, the only reason I read this manga. This category definitely carried the rest of the categories. The girls are all so cute... Adding to the theme of the manga.
[10][10][10][10][10] OWO

Character: 6
ok... if the main character has nothing too special, don't expect the supporting casts to be special too. The character setup is way too generic.

new to sport-> plays the sport-> loves the sport-> craves to win -> win(supposedly and hopefully LOL)

Enjoyment: 7
Hmm, I enjoy the drawings a lot... but not the story... I will save a few chapters and read it all at once in a fast pace.

Overall: 6.5
Art is the only reason I read. I don't think I will try to remember the plot of the story as it doesn't matter as much. But, this is a good manga just to scroll through pages and pages and enjoy the drawing healthily.

To sum things up, if you want to read this manga to gain some life lessons. Please don't... If you want to relax and see cute girls wearing bikinis, read it and pass this manga to people who want the same thing.
