Well, I came into this story expecting a passionate shoujo story about a man and his chicken girlfriend. I got what I wanted. The story is about a man named Mika who gets a new girlfriend whose name is Fabian. Mika tries showing off his love for Fabian but everyone he shows his relationship to acts how I would act, with bewilderment. The story was decent at best, considering it was a one-shot. The art is alright. It is pretty good for a one-shot about a man and his chicken girlfriend. The best character by far was Fabian. Her luscious feathers and her entrancing stare will make anyone see why Mika fell in love with a beauty like her. In the end, I somewhat enjoyed this one-shot. It wasn't good at all, but it wasn't terrible. It made me laugh with the ending which reminded me of a homunculus video I saw a while back on youtube. Anyways, read it if you have a chance since it is just a one-shot. You will probably get a chuckle out of it. |

This is a rather different tale then Alice in Wonderland. It goes along the line that Alice is torturing the White Rabbit and she has done it more then once. None of the other characters help the rabbit and they seem to be self absorbed in what they are doing in the story. She just does as she likes to the poor rabbit who seems only to want to leave her grasp. In the end, it turns out that the whole story is just a girl’s imagination as she is torturing her rabbit, well, it could also be the rabbits mind too but it’s unsure. You do hear the rabbit’s thoughts at times. The artwork is rather fun and interesting but has a very satanic feeling to it. Each character is depicted as a beautiful boy or girl. There are many hints of bondage and torture without there being any gore or sexual imagery. It’s alright, though I think it could be longer and have much more detail of the rabbit’s thoughts. |

Although Fukushima's characters are usually underdevelopped, her storylines and artwork seem to make up for it. I'd say that this manga is the best of all her mangas (so far), because it has more drama. There's this one scene (I won't ruin it for you guys too much) where you just feel like crying after reading it.... :)
This is a great manga, too bad there's only one volume out so far... |

Reviews for this manga were positive and it was a short read so you could say I was expecting a lot BUT of course, I am confident that even without expecting so much, this manga would have still disappointed me.
STORY The story is decent. In its own merit, it does have the potential to become a great story but it didn't. Mainly because the characters are too immature and the events that's taking place is irrational. I'm not asking for an Oscar-worthy story, I'm at least asking validity. Oh and the amnesia plot? It was VERY stupid. ART The art is kind of my style, it's quite cute. It's probably the only thing I have to praise in this manga. CHARACTERS Maybe it's because they're kind of still kids or something but they were really static. Even the main character, given all the screen time to develop, was a dumb brat. Usually characters and story fall in the same line as they affect each other greatly so in my own opinion, the underdeveloped characters dragged the plot drastically. ENJOYMENT I admit, I was hooked for the first three chapters, but there's only so much suspense and plot twists you can take. The amount of stupidity the main character has didn't help either. I don't get why I had to empathize with a child who ruins her supposed friend's relationship just because her boyfriend looks like [I won't mention anything else because of spoilers] her first love. It was a sick move, how she keeps pushing her self and lives in the past. I know that love is a sickly mess but still, the way the main character copes with it, it kind of made me annoyed instead of rooting for her. I also don't get what's so swoon-worthy about the male lead, and why the heck would someone even fall in love with a jerk like him. I mean call me crazy, but I rather go for the guy that wants the best for me than the jerk that makes me cry every single time. But of course, the female lead always goes for the bad boy, right? Overall, maybe it's just not my cup of tea but I just can't believe that there isn't a single negative review about this manga. I mean, save for the first three chapters and the beautiful art, this can all go down the toilet for all I care. I definitely wouldn't recommend it to someone who's finding a good read but to each their own. |

~story~
Well the story was accually very good not my favorite of her work but the story was touching and very sad it makes you want to cry the whole time and it accually gives you the real since of loss that she feels its pretty much like this. A girl who knows nothing of love suddenly falls inlove with a transfer student who basically dosent really want to be alive untill he meets her then he only wishes to see her face when suddenly the girl goes through so much loss ending up in the loss of life of another character when she meets a look alike of that person who uses her feelings. Thats all i will say so i dont give too much away. I rather enjoyed this manga and would suggest it to anyone because its just amazing thanks =) |

Like most of this mangaka's mangas, this one is quite good. It has a unique story plot and makes you get all teary at times. I actually hate reading tragic/sad plots because i'm not much into crying my eyes out but considering its this mangaka, i thought i might give it a try (because her mangas always have good endings) and it turned out to be very interesting but still kinda sad. Well i think its worth reading because its not everyday that a mangaka can write about a romance story between a living and dead person. Well i guess if you do decide to
read it, you should have tissues prepared
