Stone ocean review (no spoilers)

I cannot begin to explain my love for JoJo i could rant about it for hours, its
always been my favourite anime from its ridiculous and bizarre plot lines to its deep and compelling characters and villains theres something for everyone. I been especially impressed over how much JoJo has improved from part 1 and Araki as an author has only upped everything that makes JoJo great to a colossal scale and as the parts go on its only been getting better and my love for it increases. (especially in recent parts) there's something about it that's so special to me its vibe and style never ceases to amaze me and leave me in awe encouraging me to keep reading/watching, and this is exactly what part 6 did for me. after finishing part 5 i was left with an empty feeling in my heart i needed to satisfy my love for JoJo as someone who doesn't read a lot of manga this was a daunting task, 158 chapters is a lot and i was worried i couldn't appreciate it like i do with the anime but I'm so glad i was wrong.

Story 8/10

The story of part 6 starts of very basic we are introduced to the new JoJo, Jolyne daughter of Jotoro Kujo, we see her in the midst of an unfortunate event which wasn't her fault which causes her to be sentenced to 15 years in prison little does she Know this prison will be the catalyst for the events of the story to completely spiral out of control in bizarre and unexpected ways that leaves you on the edge of your seat. This part is easily the most bizzare part of jojo thus far the situations that Jolyne and the cast has to deal with is ridiculous due to the main antagonist. The climax of the story is both extremely sad and exciting, I'm not quite sure why people hate on the ending i think its due to people not understanding it but i will say this in order to appreciate it you will have to go into this part with an empty mind don't be influenced by what people are saying weather its good or bad. However it goes without saying some parts of the story are kind of unnecessarily complicated and don't make any sense *cough* *cough* dragons dream, but despite this its overall enjoyment completely makes up for this.

Art 9/10

The art of jojo goes without saying is fantastic, Araki has truely mastered the art of drawing characters emotions are displayed clearly and with passion and the way Araki conveys certain messages through his art is done like no other author

Characters

10/10

In my opinion JoJo part 6 has some of favourite cast of characters out of any of the previous parts and that's saying something coming straight after part 5. Each character has there own motivations and quirks that make them laughable/interesting and all have very bad-ass powerful moments. Of course Jolyne is simply incredible the fact that she is a girl JoJo is a breath of fresh air and her personality reflects this well, the raw motivation she has in this part outshines anyone that steps in her way and the way she deals with various stand users throughout the part is both satisfying and cool at the same time, her stand stone free is also amazing to me i wont spoil what it does but the way she uses her stand over the course of this part is laughably creative and genius due to her stand doing something specific she is forced to get creative, in my opinion she uses her stand in the most creative ways out of any of the JoJo's and the way its dealt with is mystifying. Weather report is also an incredible charter as well as hermes im not going to say too much about them for spoiler reasons but they are both interesting and there stands have crazy uses. I could also rant about foo fighters for hours but i will keep it brief, foo fighters unrioncially inspired to do better in my life which was really cool. However anasui is simply annoying and is a really bland character. The main villain of the part is a persistent bastard but honestly i liked him for the most part he had a tragic backstory which was quite deep and his motivation for being a villain was also like nothing we have seen so overall i would say hes a pretty good villain

Enjoyment 9/10

I highly recommend anyone who is a fan of jojo to pick up this part its a masterpiece with flaws i will admit however when it gets it right it does it so well, Araki has created a fiction in which i never thought i would get so invested in.
