Oh wow, generic shounen be generic shounen, but I can't help notice that most of these are from 2016 and before. Admittedly the anime adaptation is way worse.

People can act and say Black Clover totally ripped off Naruto as if Naruto didn't rip off HunterXHunter. Sure it starts out generic, I mean, didn't BNHA start pretty generic? The MC is special because he doesn't have any powers, pretty generic. Then BNHA changed how we perceived the generic shounen. The anime we will ignore cause even manga followers think it's shit and this page is for the manga.

So what's special about Black Clover? Nothing that much actually, but it is still enjoyable. Butthurt piece of shit Naruto fans are well, butthurt. Although I personally feel it's pretty good. The deeper meaning of some of the arcs later on really start making its mark, like how the big three did it. People go in having pretty low expectations and don't bother to read past the few first chapters.

I was skeptical at first too because Naruto was pretty shit with all its fillers and useless was still kinda useless. Now, after a fuck ton of arcs are out, useless in Black clover isn't actually useless. That's what I like about this, useless (Noelle) is a cliche useless, if useless (Sakura) was done right. She's (Noelle) not the most hateable character. Not even that she was done right but the reason she (Noelle, sorry if this confusing for you) was useless was that it was drilled in her head where: "Magic is Everything." (No more details or I'm spoiling)

It's a cliche but it uses that to its advantage almost in a meta way. It's not really for people unfamiliar with anime and manga. But I find it pretty funny sometimes before going back to just wanting in on the action it has.

At the rate it's going, I'm afraid more people just won't give it a chance. Naruto is gone and that's great but we have an honest to God pretty good manga on the run here. Get over your dumbass Naruto obsession. Black Clover is pretty original if you actually think about each arc individually. Is it that the anime doesn't think and likes answers directly thrown at them? I don't need to feel stupid like that.
