Atashi no Pink ga Afurechau review

tl;dr: It's a pretty cute shoujo (although really more like josei) smut manga filled with lots of very cute and wholesome moments and a nice relationship.....but it is sorta let down by the constant misunderstandings that can be annoying at times

Story (Spoilers for first few chaps.):

The story isn't anything too mind-boggling. Himari ends up in an unexpected encounter with her boss, finds out he's actually a virgin, they get together and a love story ensues. Most of the story follows the two's relationship together, with all the ups and downs as they come to grow closer to each other bothm emotionally and intimately.

Honestly speaking, this series has lots of cute moments in it. Both leads slowly start to open up to each other and build their relationship, and there are a lot of pretty sweet romantic moments in them, enough that you'd be needing insulin. Unfortunately that comes at a cost.

The misunderstandings..

While yes, thankfully the misunderstandings do get resolved without dragging on for tooooo long, the frequency at which they appear can kinda be annoying at times, because you just want to experience the wholesomeness and after a while, the same ol'choosing not to speak about this issue leading to a misunderstanding becomes annoying tbh.

This series also is one of those romances that focus a lot on accepting insecurities of the other. Now don't get me wrong, I find those kinds of romances to be the sweetest/cutest, but there's a limit to how many times you should be throwing that kinda stuff before it just gets way too over repetitive

Art:

The art is really well done, the character designs look great, the smutty scenes have all the softcore porn fulfillment you'd need, and the overall scenary is well done

Character:

I do like our main leads for the most part at least. The male MC is one who looks stoic on the outside but is actually quite soft on the inside, whereas the female is actually quite perverted on the inside, which is nice to see for a shoujo/josei manga. Their romantic interactions together can be really sweet/wholesome, and I honestly found myself internally 'kyaa-ing' quite a few times. It's also really nice seeing the characters accepting each other's insecurities and truly treasuring each other

My biggest grip however, is regarding their inability to properly communicate at times. To an extent it does make sense given the FeMC's past and the male MC' character, why they choose to not speak out in the beginning, but it does get kinda annoying when even despite all they go through, they still repeat the same mistakes that they should've learned from

Enjoyment:

Honestly, I really do like the series when it's more fluffy/lovey-dovey, but I'm not the biggest fan with how the drama plays out in the series, because it can get quite annoying. If you're looking for a good smut manga with some cute (and good looking) couples, then this is a good shout
