Haunted House review

English isn't my native language so I know this review is going to suck a lot.

After finishing Shigeshoushi and Beautiful People, I decided to read more of Mihara Mitsukazu's works, and this is how I found Haunted House.

Haunted House revolves around Sabato Obiga and his daily struggles with his eccentric (read: gothic) family that always scares his girlfriends away when he brings them home.

What I like about this manga is how Sabato's family made me feel frustrated yet giggling at the same time. I clearly saw Sabato's pain because his girlfriend-deprived state yet I always giggled when his family was always up to something... bad.
Sometimes the story goes irrational, sometimes it makes sense.
There were lot of times when I sympathized with Sabato. I mean how can you not when your weird family always manages to scare away your girlfriends when you take them to your house? When both your sisters and parents pull a prank on you everyday after you get home from school? I'm not trying to make it sound too much but then again, sometimes the story just goes irrational.

The art is purely Mihara Mitsukazu's. If you have read any of her previous mangas, you'll definitely nod and say, "Ah, this definitely her manga, no doubt about it." once you see this.

I enjoyed reading Haunted House.
If you want something scary to read, then this is definitely not for you.
