Domestic na Kanojo review

I must say that my impressions are a little bit biased, because I'm from a culture of soap operas and telenovelas, thus, I don't see the dramatic points of the plot like a con.

That's a spoiler free review, feel free to read.

The story is a real dumpster fire, the plot could very well be from a random hentai from PornHub, but the author manages to work on a deeper and serious level about social taboos, relationships, growth, building up a carreer, depression, drugs and college. There's always a slice of life comedy tone sprinkled in the middle of it, and even though it breaks the tension, it prevents the story from being a dense and 100% mature work (like Oyasumi Punpun).

The plot twists and the melodrama are so over the top that instead of getting on the nerves for the absurdity, makes it even enjoyable, because they are the most predictable and most visceral outcome the narrative can take. You get yourself laughing and crying from plausible yet outrageous situations, cheers on and against characters, which made me read nearly 150 in one night.

And besides the art not being so distinct (actually, I think is pretty mediocre if isolated from the context), the panneling and composing of the scenes convey drama and emotions from the characters very well. Even bland characters can express a lot without the text.

It's not a piece of art, it won't change your point of view, or change your life perspective drastically, but when you read, is a pleasant, enjoyable time. With some really good sex scenes.
