Kingdom review

It's really a great manga and still ongoing. The way the story progresses it seems so natural. People may argue against it because of the anime but that's not the case.
THE MANGA IS A THOUSAND TIMES BETTER THAN THE ANIME… You can take my word for it.
The story is set in the warring period of China, the era of the seven kingdoms which is already known to have had many great battles, with politics and diplomacy which really leaves you in awe. The way the story is portrayed, it's not all military battles but we have political battles as well, with diplomats, officials, generals, soldiers and even kings; each and every one of them giving their all on their own battlefields. It really is a battlefield out there. We follow the story of the state of Qin through the eyes of their crown prince, whose dream is to find everlasting peace through the unification of China, and an orphaned boy who aspires to become the best general under the heavens. Then, through a turn of events, this boy becomes a loyal retainer of the crown prince. But the path for both of them is not to be one filled with peace and comfort. The boy being a common-born has a long way to go and even the crown prince has very few loyal supporters after the death of the king, the situation seems pretty gloomy for both of them and we follow these dreamers on their own quests to achieve their ideals. This story has all that you can ask for so do give it a read.
