One Piece review
Going into this show I was exited, it was back in 2008 when chapter 500 had just came out and I was hearing the hype about the work... so I decided that I was going to check this work out. That was the day.. a day I wish I could go back on because ever since then I have wanted to die. I read up to chapter 500 in a few days. Those were the worst days of my life.

Around Chapter 230, I sat there crying for hours because It was dreadful... every chapter, every page, every panel, every sentence, and every word that I read of one piece, have been the worst moments of my life. I said that I was going to drop it back then but every person in my school said, "Don't drop it it gets better, trust. It never got better. In fact it has been getting worse.

Every Single time a new chapter releases, I cry. I usually don't view the chapter a few hours until after it comes out because I am bawling my eyes out from how bad I don't want to read the weeks chapter. This has been going on since 2008, the release of the 500th chapter. These have been the worst years of my life. Ever since then I have been trying to go back in time, to get my time back form what I wasted read this awful show. But I sucked it up, I just wanted this manga to be over, I've been waiting upon waiting for 12 YEARS STRAIGHT, but it just won't end. I haven't been getting sleep lately because I just stay up late dreading the release of the next chapter.

I gave everything a 1 except for characters, and I did this for a specific reason. That reason is Zoro. Every single night since the chapter 500 I have been wanting to do unnamed things to that man, that beast.

There is something that I do enjoy in life though, and that is Naruto and Boruto. The best things I have ever read. Especially Boruto. A masterpiece if I have ever seen one myself. EVERY WORD written in the Boruto manga is a masterpiece. Boruto is the best character in all of manga and anime, nothing have ever came close to it and nothing ever will.

TDLR; I hate every page of one piece, It is the worst thing I have ever read. In conclusion. Boruto and Naruto trump this awful manga in every way

Akatsuki no Yona review
I love this. I don't know why. I just do.
I rate the story an 8. It's pretty good, but the plot isn't exactly original. There's not much to say here.
The art, I love. I don't typically like Shojo, but the art here isn't exaggerated, where the eyes are disgustingly giant and so are the females' breasts. And I love the way the artist draws. It's unique, I think. I'd give it a 10.
I give the character a 9. It's a little unbelievable, but not quite, how fast Yona changes, and it's not immediate, thankfully. She didn't just pick up a bow and arrow right away and seek vengeance. She was kind of... dead? for a while? And I love the backstories, particularly Zeno's and Shin-Ah's. I think I'm gonna cry.
As for my enjoyment, I'd say a 7. After the dragons become part of Yona's harem, they just kind of... disappear. They just fade into the background. It's too much on Yona and sometimes on Hak. Hell, I'd say Ao gets more attention than the other dragons. I wanted to see more of Zeno and Shin-Ah. Shin-Ah doesn't talk a lot, but he's innocent and interesting, and I want to see him learn more about the world after he's been holed inside his cave for 18 years. And Zeno is just really interesting. On the surface, he's a childish, hungry 17 year old. But he's an old dude who's been through a lot, and he's got lots of experience. He might not need a lot of screen time, because his development is clear, but I want to see what Zeno's going to do now, and if he'll try to get rid of his powers.
Overall, I give it a 9. It stands out from the typical Shojo, where the girl is somehow wondering who she loves out of the millions of guys in her harem. Yona's not focusing on romance, and her feelings are pretty clear. As are the feelings of the dragons. Kija and Shin-Ah are too precious for romance, Jae-Ha's gonna ignore his feelings, and Zeno's already (spoiler alert) had a wife. He knows the difference between love and devotion, I think. And I don't think he's gonna love anyone else.
I would recommend this to just about anyone.

Ryuusei Sanka review
Read in: Japanese (Not Scanlated)

When I picked this volume up, all I knew was that a decent number of Japanese readers were describing it as "similar to Attack on Titan." This made me skeptical, because I loathe that series (but that's a story for another day) but I am so, so glad I decided to give it a try anyway.

The similarities to Attack on Titan thus far are extremely surface level (There is a wall surrounding a town keeping things out, outsiders who are not wanted, that's about it). If I were to make a comparison, I would say this series aesthetically has closer ties to Tegami Bachi mainly in the setting design and overall atmosphere of the story.

As there is only one volume out, it is difficult to say anything concrete. But the first volume shows promise. The character of Dorasena, an immortal who knows next to nothing about their own species, called the Tenamku, is an interesting lead whose mysterious origins form the central mystery of the story. Dorasena, and the characters that surround them are all likable and show potential for complexity in future volumes.

Overall, I am interested to see where the story goes in volume two.

The art is fantastic. The author has several yaoi and doujinshi published and you can get a feel for her art there to see if it suits you.

If you are interested in a beautifully drawn fantasy with a melancholy feeling akin to Tegami Bachi, I wholeheartedly recommend giving this series a try.

Devilman Lady review
Despite the score seen this manga is a 6.5/10 it definitely not a 6 however not as high as a 7. However before viewing this manga Devilman and Shin Devilman, as everything set up in those manga basically gets development, this manga is great for lore enthusiast of Go Nagai.

This contains the similar anti-war message that devilman has stated however like many reviews and blog have stated. However this is a different perspective, about mankind, heroism, corruption of man this is clearly showcased in really at the beginning of the series where it was most episodic which different character showcasing a different point of view. Before going further your probably how do u read this series? because it's not official translated you have to find out that yourself, before going further, let's discuss the positive.

Art:
The art showcases an evolution of Go Nagai artistic sense, everything has been improved, better shading, more accurate anatomy, the art in Devilman compared to this series literally is no comparison. The shock value aspect that this manga is known for is evaluated in this sequel. This is not a huge spoiler however the deception of hell is really amazing, you feel like he saw Miura eclipse from berserk and stated that shits tame. It retains the grittiness that Devilman showcased especially near the end of the original series but evaluates into a 3 dimension aspect like comparing the beginning of berserk art to volume 14 onwards its an evolution.

Writing:

Writing is iffy still, Go Nagai writing has always been controversial to say the least the amount of times rape has become a plot device especially the beginning is kinda insane. This can kinda be an issue because of a lot of the writing feel old school but this is where berserk finished its golden age arc one of the best written Senien arcs of all time. The characters especially the side characters have much more depth than the previous series, however something about Akira is far more fantasizing to view compared to Jun, however, jun does grow as a character. She was an optimistic teacher from beginning the series to somebody who questions her actions all the time and more morally ambiguous.

The best thing about this series is that alot of things you thought were random in the series actually has an answer in middle, alot of plot twist where u look back makes a lot of sense. the best writing is far the hell section its showcasing everything great about Go Nagai captivating art, with at times impressive writing that you feel an emotional connection with these characters. The problem of this series is really the last 4 chapters because apparently this series was getting canceled, this makes a lot of sense due to the case a lot of random plot conveniences occurs, characters aren't properly explained, you feel like 20 big chuck chapters have been missing, plot points set up never gets brought up or has a conclusion.

Overall:

I say this was going to be a solid 7.5 however conclusion was rather lackluster, i still need to be updated on my Go Nagai lore. I assume they alot of side stories that need to be viewed before viewing devilman saga, i say if you want to ride on this roller coaster and u liked Devilman i recommending viewing this but not really as a standalone manga but knowing that you need to view the other series to have a proper conclusion. If you don't want to view the entire Go Nagai experience i don't really recommend i'm reading this because i want to conclusion for this franchise.

recommended reading order i still need to complete : Devilman, Shin Devilman, Devilman Lady ( optional Violence Jack), Amon The Dark Side, ( optional Neo Devilman) Devilman Mokushiroku: Strange Days sequel of Amon the dark side, Akuma Kishi a prequel to the entire franchise then lastly Devilman Saga.

I know that sounds like alot i don't think you have to view all of it however this is the recommended viewing i found, anyways its a solid read hopefully you enjoy it and spread the word so netflix can make an anime verison like devilman crybaby.

Time Paradox Ghost Writer review
Time Paradox Ghost Writer is a story about a manga creator who isn't unique or bold enough to make it in the industry. That is, until, his microwave begins spitting out copies of Weekly Shounen Jump from years in the future. He then decides that plagiarizing a story from these volumes' pages will be his fast track to success.

Ironically enough, a "lack of originality" is my core issue with this entire manga.

There isn't an ounce of originality to the plot. It combines the ideas of two widely acclaimed series, Bakuman and Steins;Gate, in more ways than you'll realize at first. It's all stuff we've seen before, just done much worse than its inspirations. The pacing is all over the place, ranging from a couple weeks to a couple of YEARS passing in a single chapter. However, there's no telling whether that's due to the author's own writing or to WSJ itself, since they've decided to ax the series within its first four months in publication.

Even when it tries to do something on its own, it ends up being all too much for the series to handle, becoming an odd, unexplained, unfocused mess in its final weeks. The art, while nothing special, does its job adequately enough. I haven't felt a single thing for the characters in this manga so far - in fact, I could hardly tell you anything about ANY of the characters in its pages. Or, should I say, either of the two characters that appear in more than a single chapter.

Ultimately, I wouldn't necessarily DISSUADE you from reading this because of its exceedingly short run time, but I wouldn't really encourage you to read it either. I would much rather point you to either of its inspirations, Bakuman and Steins;Gate; however, I would be very surprised if you haven't heard of either up to this point.

Dei Ecchi Ei review
Dei Ecchi Ei is a humorous manga that manages to combine school life, harems, romance, echii, and demons vs. angels together. At its best it’s quite hilarious and cute but it does end up being a bit repetitive after a while. That being said it’s a title that is sure to be enjoyed who like harem romance comedies with a side of echii naughtiness.

The story begins with our young heroine Ai Shiratori, who longs for classmate Hikaru Kamishiro. Little does Ai know that soon her quest for Hikaru's love will mean the survival of life on earth! The archangel Rafael approaches her and tells her she must protect Hikaru from falling to the seven deadly sins of Greed, Lust, Sloth, Envy, Pride, Gluttony, and Wrath or Lucifer will be reborn in his body. To combat this she is given a magical bow and arrow that can prevent him from falling to a sin and tells her she must consummate her love with Hikaru in order to save him and the world. What’s a shy girl who can’t express her feelings to do?

Admittedly I found the story pretty cute and funny right off the bat. Ai is quite lovable and her angst about her feelings and all the embarrassing things she ends up having to do to save her love. Each of the sins is represented by cute girls of various ages. They were all likeable and amusing despite the whole wanting to end the world thing. The story unfolds pretty episodically as Ai has to thwart the plans of each girl as they try to make Hikaru fall. It’s predictable and it isn’t tremendously interesting all of the time but still manages to maintain the humor. The echii content is pretty high with many sexual jokes and a lot of nudity but it isn’t obscenely naughty. Even though it’s not really a long story it is well developed and has good pacing. The end is slightly rushed in feeling and I get the feeling that it probably should have gone on for at least three or four more chapters. It’s still satisfying and sweet so this is a minor complaint.

Ai makes for a hilarious heroine. In most manga of this type the guy is usually the hero so I thought it was original and interesting for the girl to be the focal point. While Ai is not a complicated or deep character she is a lot of fun. Her arguments with Rafael whom nobody else can see are funny and though her angst does get annoying sometimes its still is cute. (Just say what you feel already!)

The love interest Hikaru is not so interesting however. I guess he is supposed to be the "anti" antichrist but he comes off as weak and way too good to be true. I don’t know about the rest of you but I don’t want to be around anyone that pure. Though later on in the story he does get a bit deeper as a person and not so much of a goody-goody.

The seven deadly sins are the ones who steal the story though. All of them get their spotlight chapters as they conspire to bring down Hikaru but unfortunately fade into the background once their moment has passed. This is disappointing because some of the girls are really hilarious and the story suffers with them not being as much a part of it.

Artistically the manga is very good. I loved the character designs and all the girls were quite cute and detailed. The artist does a nice job drawing the action and expressing the comedy as well as drawing a very pleasing female form. The artwork was consistent throughout though it’s never spectacular.

Overall this is a manga I would recommend to those who like this genre. Chances are if you are a fan of Oretama (My Balls) this should be right up your alley, though this is far less sexually explicit. It’s nothing that’s going to amaze you but it’s fairly short and is unlikely to disappoint anyone.

Boku wa Beatles review
As of now, this is translated through Chapter 44. I think I'll keep reading as they come out, but I'm confident my opinion has solidified and won't change.

This manga is OK. I started reading it because I'm a Beatles fan and a plagiarist. As a Beatles fan, I was expecting Beatles references and maybe some cleverness in terms of the 1960s setting, and there was far less of that than I thought there would be. The particular band that's the subject of this story could have been almost any other one and only aesthetic details would have changed.

As a plagiarist, I was expecting this story to be Author supremacist, and it is firmly so. They say all sorts of weird things to make it seem like the band members are bad people for plagiarizing the Beatles, and the effect of the release of their records on the historical Beatles is mostly dealt with off-panel. As I say, I was expecting this. It's not unusual for a professionally published story to demonize plagiarists, but I do not believe that the characters did anything wrong by plagiarizing The Beatles. In fact, an extra year of influence from the Beatles songs might make the world a better place. Maybe if the Beatles came up as an act emulating the Fab Four, then John Lennon wouldn't have been murdered in 1980. Maybe John and Paul McCartney would write different songs to try to make a name for themselves. Maybe they would have thought of a different style of song that interested them. No possibility like those is seriously explored. "The Beatles will write new, different songs" is portrayed as a pipe dream that's an unreasonable justification for the Fab Four's supposedly unreasonable behavior. It's just bigoted nonsense, but I expected it. What's funny to me is the ridiculous lengths they go to make their Author supremacy seem reasonable. For example, someone who had never been to Liverpool previously goes there and recognizes the soul of Liverpool in the songs "I Want to Hold Your Hand" and "Yesterday". What? What does that even mean? Paul composed "Yesterday" in France in 1964, after the Beatles had their initial successes. Lennon-McCartntney wrote "I Want to Hold Your Hand" in 1963 specifically because they were having an issue breaking into the American market and they wanted something that sounded more appealing to Americans. As a plagiarist, I don't think these biographical details really matter THAT MUCH, if at all, but the Author supremacist line is that they're more important than anything else. OK. So then why did you pick songs that were written outside of Liverpool? They didn't even bother to say that the Fab Four chose songs written later in the Beatles' career so that The Beatles would still be able to release their debut album unchanged. Their Author supremacy cut off potentially interesting story possibilities.

But I'd be lying if I said that the rivalry driven by differences of opinion over whether the plagiarism is permissible was uninteresting. It takes its sweet time getting to the point where the other two band members come back into the narrative and that issue comes to the fore, but it's cool when it does.

Overall, this is very much a man's comic for men, which is not typically the style I go for. The art is fine. If, like me, you prefer shonen or shojo fare, you might find the delivery of the dialog in this and certain artistic sequences stilted in comparison. I almost dropped it early because I wasn't really vibing with it. But, eventually, I promise the story decides to pick up and the 20-pages-per-issue loop took over my monkey brain. I ended up reading the half of it that was translated in less than a day.
