Tokage no Ou review
This manga was all sorts of crazy. The premise at its core is of a guy who is pretty much normal but wants to be part of something exciting, getting his wish by being thrown into what he wanted and discovering that it's nothing like what he wanted, but rather something terrifying and somewhere he doesn't belong at all, after which he somehow manages to pull himself together to pull off being more than simply pathetic. This premise was quite interesting. However, the implementation of such felt all over the place. First off, the setup, which is pretty much all just one event, takes up the whole manga. It adds too many characters that don't seem to have much point at all, furthermore spending a good amount of time on each one, which ends up making things overtly complicated without any payoff. It felt like it was going for the point when it was finally revealed what was going on to be shocking or a twist, but at that point you're not really invested in any of what's going on since its been changing so rapidly so it didn't really hit that beat at all. And just as we move past the prologue, and it seems we are finally seeing the beginning of the main plot the manga just suddenly ends, though with a really awesome ending shot. Really, a lot of the manga was quite cool, though a lot more brutal than I expected, with Tokage managing to seem quite cool when he wanted to, and Sugamo also being interesting in that I like crazy characters like her. But as the plot just fell apart as soon as it started going somewhere, that's all it has going for it. The art was pretty good.

tl;dr: A manga that’s incredibly messy that ends right before the plot starts moving, though it still manages to be pretty cool.

Jinmen review
Oh boy, this manga. Is this even a manga? I'm pretty sure it is, but it's pretty different from any other manga I've ever read. Regardless, let's begin.

First off, I should say that I am a weirdo that loves body horror. It doesn't freak me out, but it's something I love to see. If it's a fresh type that I haven't seen before, then it definitely gets bonus points. Say what you will about the plot and characters, but this artist draws horror like none I've seen before. While there's an annoying amount of gore seemingly for its own sake, the truly striking scenes are the facial expressions that the Jinmen can show.

In most Horror manga, you'll have a mildly interesting idea followed by nothing but repeated gore, probably a ton of sexual violence and some one-note, psychological abuse, and probably a sprinkling of "but we were the monster all along" just to earn the painfully average cherry on top. I'm not going to say that Jinmen completely steps over this very dumb tendency, but it certainly approaches things in a different way. In Jinmen, the horror is most appreciable when there's little to no violence, or even any dialogue, and you just find yourself face-to-face with an abomination made by someone who understood the concept of furries from a completely backward view.

To see what was once a cute animal now give you a look of smug contempt as you remember just how low on the food chain we belong can send a chill down your spine. The artist draws these expressions with just enough humanity to emphasize the uncanny factor of the admittedly dumb base idea, making each new expression and animal another look into the horror of their world. This only becomes more unsettling as you gain more and more clues that these animals(?) not only have human faces, but may be gaining a similar level of intellect, as well. With a revelation that only seems clear in retrospect, you suddenly find yourself realizing that you aren't just dealing with animals that do animal things with human faces, but with new creatures that know what they're doing, and seem to enjoy it.

Jinmen is likely a very personal form of horror, reliant of the individual reader's idea of what is scary. As someone that finds the regular old monster interesting, and gore to be aggressively boring, it built expectations of the average story before throwing something that I do fear, and that few stories truly build upon; distrust of the familiar. Distrust of humans (or rather their faces), along with distrust of creatures we arrogantly assume are below us, makes for some scenes to truly chill you.

So, if you're interested what I've described, I'd highly recommend it. If you're interested in an utterly unique setting and art style, I'd highly recommend it. If you're looking for excellent characterization, relatable characters, or plot... eh, it's just as good if not better than most Horror manga.

Suki x Suki review
Hmm... Took me a while to rate it, since I'm just so conflicted over it.
The invisibility idea is great, and its execution had me thoroughly interested, but the main characters... ugh.

Story: 8/10.
I guess I'd have given it a 10 if not for the ending, just felt distasteful. Still gets an 8 for concept atleast.

Art: 10/10.
It is pretty basic, but it just felt perfect for this kind of story.

Character: 4/10.
Ahhh, the part where it went wrong. At first I liked the dynamic between them, but it got annoying really quickly. The girl literally never tries to even SPEAK to the guy, and this dumbass of a guy just keeps, KEEPS going to her to initiate everything. I'm fine with that much, some people just don't do much on their own. Fair. But then this bitch keeps refusing. YEESH That is seriously annoying. I'm quite surprised MC never flipped her off. It fits the premise, sure, and adds to the fun sometimes. But her level is simply too shitty.
Here's a few particularly annoying examples:
1. She makes cookies for him, can't tell him, starts remarking how they are SO tasty, but she can't finish them herself. MC picks up on her hint and asks for some, since she has so many. She proceeds to eat all the cookies and say "Too bad, no leftovers for you".
...
...
Why.
And this guy is so desperate to make her happy he eats the single lone cookie that fell off when she ate. 10/10 character building.
And *SPOILERS here*
Another infuriating aspect is she laments their awkward state she caused in the past when someone joked of them dating, she said she only spoke to him out of pity, and there's no way she'd date him. Ouch, okay, bad enough, but fine, maybe she'll grow and correct her mistake...? right? NOPE. In the second last chapter, someone says it again, and yet again, she says she can't stand him, and there's no way she'd date him... Girl, I thought you regretted saying ti before deeply. How do you say it again by reflex... Atleast I hoped she'd apologize, or the guy would tell her he knows her true feelings, tells her to be honest, or SOMETHING, but nah he just tells her he likes her. Till the end, she does nothing while he does enough to drive any sane person to kick her out of their lives.

There's good ones with a theme of not progressing the relationship themselves, like Kaguya-Sama. Both love each other and never say it, but atleast they try to make plans to get the other one say it. That was fun. This.... I'd have given it a 1 if not for the superbly fun invisibility.

Enjoyment: 9/10.
Through all its faults, I can't deny enjoying the invisible moments to madness. Easy 10 if not for the characters themselves...

Overall: 8/10
Still worth a read. If you can tolerate the girl, this would be a great manga for sure. Even if you can't, I'd say its still somewhat worth finishing, though it did leave a sour taste in the end.

Haite Kudasai, Takamine-san review
As you can see, I was interested due to the fact there was actually a character development. Thank you, finally. But you get to the ettchi and nude scenes that create an unpleasant experience. Yes, it may be male dominant as we like female body parts to satisfy us. However, it wasn’t why I liked it. This is why there is certain misconceptions to my manga reading. I read it to understand the perspective on different manga and not to be close minded to hyped and jump on the bandwagon because those who appeal to those will be viewed as ‘normal’. However, I came to read this to understand what type of synopsis can be created to make manga actually interesting. I guess I got into the manga and came out with a wrong perspective because of my sucked in mentality to female protagonists. But a clear mind I can say this is a good/bad manga.

I can say it’s good because of the unique art style it has, with the way they draw the female characters make them actually beautiful. I can say that it’s sort of a way for males to appeal to their erotic fantasies, but the fact still stands that they conveyed a very realistic drawing of characters. This author knew the anatomy of females and created a fantastic artwork. The second point to why this is a good manga is the character development. I guess I like manga/anime when there is not always an ongoing trend but a twist to each part which keeps the manga engaging. Although it is more towards a very erotic view, well I guess cause the synopsis wouldn’t continue if that doesn’t happen. I can stand firm and say this character development is better than most of the etcci manga/anime which are out there so good on them for doing that.

Now on to the bad things about this manga. There are a few but I’ll break down into different reasons which are obvious.
1) Too much erotic scenes
I get that it’s etcci but come-on, it is hard to concentrate with the plot continuing this trend of nudity but in some cases they do it for comedy sake, but this is for the plot. Let me be clear, the plot. I can say that it is alright to have a few shots here and there but almost each part has the MC having fantasies over the female protagonist which is hard to view it at the end.
2) Lack of creativity
As this is kind of linking to the first point, but it’s still valid. There is no doubt that the creativity in this is too much. I mean there is no denying that there are worst ones out there, I mean there is a weird adaptation of a manga which I will disclose for now. I mean it is kind of new, but the fact is people are going to be looking and seeing that this is just a plot to let those who want a bit of peak into the erotic fantasies of women. Man, that is low, I mean it sort of made others lurk into the manga.

I mean I am showing this because I want to explain to those who are in situations where they are being judged for, for reading there type of manga’s, but I am clearing the air to show that as a manga/anime reviewer, I want to break the stereotype of those who read these are perverts. I have reasons and I do read and watch to learn and develop different perspectives on manga and anime. It helps me grow and develop more anime/manga knowledge. I think I want to make it clear to all that it is alright to see these once in a while, I guess it is not to hide into a shadow because of reading these.
