Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou review

Waga Gyouyuu ni Furueyo Tenchi: Alexis Teikoku Kouryuuki review
If you like historical epics this one is for you. While it does take place in a fictional world, there is 0 magic or fantasy elements, so you actually kinda feel that things like this could very well happen in the real world.
The genre is 100% pure senkimono, which means that it focuses on warfare. In this novel, there is a much larger focus on strategy and outwitting the enemy than fighting itself, so it's good if you prefer that kind of stuff. The main character is definitely the kind of MC you're not supposed to self-insert in (the book is written in third person), so expect a pretty rough antisocial guy that's really good when it comes to fighting (it's pretty realistic in the sense that being OP means being able to fight 3-4 guys at once. Not wiping out an entire army). Although it weirded me out a little. He's supposedly 15 and already an incredibly skilled warrior that massacres his way through the battlefield? You would think that people twice with age and experience would be able to do something against him but no. Just found that a bit weird, bu t if you accept it as some natural talent or something I guess it works. My favourite part was the antagonists. They were all really badass and smart, so their chapters were my favourite parts of the book. I have some other stuff I would like to read now but there's a good chance I'll be getting the second volume somewhere in the future.

Jikkyou!! Izumi-kun no Koi Moyou review
It’s rare that you get a manga where the main character is both a doormat and likable. In Jikkyou!! Izumi-kun no Koi Moyou, our titular protagonist somehow manages to be a complete pushover, awkward as hell, and—dare I say it—genuine.
Admittedly, I had zero expectations coming into this manga. I thought it was going to be another love triangle filled school romance between the socially awkward guy and the outgoing normie girl. Well, it still is, but the characters make it much more enjoyable to read. Izumi-kun in particular is our shining star. I find myself rooting for the poor dude with no communication skills because the commentary he provides in his head is exciting. He finds himself getting into it and really roots for whoever he’s cheering on. Whenever he talked about the “normie cavalry,” I half-expected him to give the readers the standard, “riajuus go die!” But he subverts my expectations and does the opposite by being a nice dude overall—he does things like praising a guy for impressing the ladies and rooting for his fellow nerd who got forcibly put into a basketball tournament. What really won me over was when he was wholeheartedly cheering for a girl confessing to a guy with his usual mental commentary. Something about Izumi cheering so passionately from the sidelines makes me want to do the same. And it’s not just Izumi that I root for either. I thought that Shinohara would be the same superficial gyaru stereotype that we’ve all seen before, but she’s a little more than that. She’s just this excitable ball of energy that’s willing to give Izumi the push he needs in this story. She takes him out of his comfort zone to let him grow a bit. She gets upset when people are laughing at Izumi and not with him. And as I travel further into the manga, the rest of our “normie cavalry” is more or less the same. Simply put, they’re all good people. Now, praise aside, I’m not going to say that this manga is incredible. At the time of this post, only fifteen translated chapters are out. The plot is rather simple and leaves a lot to be desired. We have the standard love triangles running amok and Izumi’s slow but steady growth is exactly that—slow. Other than that, there isn’t much else to say about this manga. I’d say give it a try but don’t expect anything that’ll knock your socks off.

Dolls Code review
Ah yes, a manga I stumbled upon years ago. Heavily disappointing as my first review on here...
Doll's code at first glance of the synopsis and peaks is an interesting manga and not for the easy faint of heart due to some of its subject matters it fails to do mostly anything about if it's not murder to say at the least. [story: 6/10] With a basic yet still boring plot forcing them to "bond" to understand each, and you know, get your body parts back from Frankenstein .JR. The mystery is interesting having most viewers on their feet, even keeping the identity of the puppet for most readers or those who don't put too much thought of it hidden well for most and obvious for some others. However, this is where its problems arise. They have it too mysterious without pushing us in the right direction. Oku always gets the finger pointed at him as the puppet. It's like they never give you a chance to say think "[name] might be the puppet!" Making those in the manga suspicious of Oku with no reason/ Literally one chapter they don't trust him, the next they do, after that they don't again, and repeat! It Results in making the "bonding experience" of the characters useless and pointless to show these sides of characters if it's not the twins. In most parts of the manga I never got the slightest bit disturbed at scenes. The only time I felt frightened was through two backstories, and only because to the sudden graphic content without saying "Hey here's backstory, LOL!" [characters: 3/10] Easily forgettable and almost useless outside the "actual main two" and three others. Featuring awful backstories for everyone but one. This made minor character development hard to create with the exception of one, and even then it's for the most "complex" of the bunch. While he's the worse compared to the rest of the cast for a variety of reasons, I don't know how I can explain how stupid that was without risking spoilers. [Art: 9/10] [Enjoyment: 5/10] Probably for most the only charm point of this of course is that beautiful art and character design! I only found myself continuing to read it just to see more of the style, being as that's where I found most of the "enjoyment" (if I can really call it that) from. TL;DR: dolls code is just boring with typical trope characters you'd find in most early shounen animes but trying to be dark and gritty like watered down dangan ronpa and sucks at trying to make you feel sympathy for characters. However, Dolls Code is worth enough a skim in your spare time or a quick midnight peak if you want a chapter or two. In all honesty too; you could stop reading this for a year and suddenly remember and go straight back to where you were since you're not really forgetting or missing much, lets be honest here.

Godspeed review
tl;dr: Interesting concepts with a pretty bad execution.
This manga starts off with an interesting concept and some solid world building. I also thought the character designs were solid and though there weren't that many the basic character introductions were solid enough. The battle system too seemed like it had potential. However, it had a few major issues right off the bat. The first is that the pacing was pretty random. While they were still in the sanctuary it was decent enough, but after they left it felt like things got a lot more arbitrary and it didn't feel like it was telling a cohesive story. The other issue is the art, which was really rough and quite messy, so even with solid designs it wasn't nice to look at. It also feels like it got axed, resulting in everything it did build up never getting built upon and thus it never managing to get anywhere with most of what it looked like it wanted to and instead went into an ending that was rushed quite a bit, wherein the author does seem to manage to tie up every plot thread introduced so far it seems, but barely touching most of them and hence doing too much without doing anything properly.

Jisatsu Circle review
One way i find my manga is through the reccomendations section of a manga i already read (and enjoyed). This manga was the recommendation of a recommendation (i typically dont read horrors, lol). Anyway, this manga is a good break to any other type of manga (unless its already horror your reading). A very MYSTERIOUS (in the good way) and yet DISTURBING manga at the same time.
Story: Jisatsu Circle is a manga that truly shows what girls go through sometimes, with a lot of gore and body parts added into the mix. (as you will soon see when you read it *winks). Like most horror manga, it will start out with a massive shock factor that will horrify the reader into think "hey? WHY DID THIS HAPPEN? and try to read on". And there are many twists in the story, leading the reader to falsely suspect people. And some freaky un-explained occurrances. Mainly focuses on suicide, girls' lives (what ppl dont know), gore, and cult. DO NOT READ IF YOU CANT TOLERATE EXTREME GORE, even i (who i think can stand most shock factors, flinched a bit after viewing it in the first chapter :/ ). Art: The characters in this manga are drawn in an entirely different style than what most ppl who read mangas are used to. I must say, this is one of the only manga whose characters actually might look like real life ppl (the eyes are smaller, not all girls are lovey dovey and cute). For most people who like cute manga girls with large eyes and stuff, this manga might not seem appealing in this way, but the art is unique in this way and suits this manga well. Character: There is a lot of character information, and the main character Saya Kota develops very well in this manga. The manga is designed so that it is mostly told from a third person's point of view: Saya Kota's friend Kyoko. IMO the characters are very well explained in this manga, about how they came to be. Kyoko shares her memories of Saya from even when they were children, and how tragedy afflicted her friend. In the end, Kyoko is finally able to reach Saya just a bit, but it is too late...and the circle (or shall i say cycle) of horror continues. Enjoyment: Most ppl would enjoy the story more than the gore IMO. The story (along with explicit pictures shown) will make you feel horror, sadness, intensity, shock, and sometimes even disgust. But there are many twists, and you'll want to keep reading to find out the whole mystery of the story. Overall: Again, DO NOT READ THIS MANGA IF YOU CANT STAND GORE, otherwise it is a great manga, and is concise. Shows very well what girls may be suffering through, and has shock content and mystery to keep the reader on edge and the pages flippin.

Iron Knight review
Iron Knight died after a one-shot, 17-ish chapters and a singular chapter after the fact. It was certainly short-lived, but it told its story in a straight line. It never explored the interesting possibilities this manga could have become, and it could've lasted longer; Much, much longer.
Iron Knight tells the story of Teppei, a boy so naive and hard-headed it's sickening. He has the ability to become a goblin through the Goblin Virus epidemic and protects humans. He is simple, innocent, and square. His feelings are so dull, and not much is done to give his backstory attention so readers can relate to him. His personality could've reached a spectrum of different feelings; but instead, he's either happy, crying or angry. Near the end, Teppei undergoes a personality change caused by the virus, which happens completely between two chapters, remaining unseen by the reader. This breakdown could've been explored much further, to create that impending doom of this collapse. The plot could've jumped so far, to explore more situations and more feelings, but, it ended in 20 chapters, and two major arcs. Iron Knight has several battles that can be pleasing. Scenes are drawn well, and Teppei's goblin design is neat. There is some tedious fanservice. Yet, there are about 3 or 4 major battles, which, as I said, leaves room for so much potential. Iron Knight could've been a long running shounen that could dive its characters into emotion, explore a plot that could twist and turn, and leave its readers begging for more. I could've loved it. But instead of being that, it is dull, uncomplicated and simple.

Kanashi no Homura: Yumemaboroshi no Gotoku review
I've read this manga twice and I still feel very emotional. The story may be simple but the plot of story which is mitsuhide being a woman is what makes the story. I think the romance between mitsuhide and nobunaga is great and interesting. I mean we already know from history what happens to Oda Nobunaga and I feel the author did a cute twist with his story.
Reasons why I like this manga: - It's historical - It contains cross dressing. - It has a strong female lead - It has romance - It has tragedy - their is some character development(mainly the main lead)

Dead Tube review
Dead Tube is a manga with a diverse reception, either you love it or you hate the manga, and luckily I was one of the ones who loved it. For me, it was a complete experience, filled with content that I like. With a lot of gore, sex, fights and incredible arcs. Of all the arches, only one didn't cheer me up, which was the one on the island, but there are arches like the school's epic arc, Justice Man's arc, which is an absurd satire and even the current one has been quite good, all which are very interesting and strongly compensate for something
weaker.
Its beginning is perfect to define who wants to proceed with the work, as it already puts its foot in the door presenting its extremist and absurdly violent proposal. The characters work well and evolve, emphasizing the maturity of the protagonist, the rest of the fixed cast starring in the events well and are memorable. The art is rich in detail and represents all gore and extremism very well. For an ero guro fan, this work has several elements even more potent than in style works, great for me.
